Before l write this review it is not directly about the university. I aim to review two loves for me associated within the building.

1st review: The restaurant
I am not quite sure how many people know that outsiders can use this facility, it is open to all and provides a more affordable alternative to eating at the Tate.

I have been coming to the restaurant for many years now as l use to run a group with special needs across the road at the Tate, and also use to bring the group here for lunch.

The choice of breakfast and lunch is fantastic, providing choices for meat and non meat eaters, as well as fresh fruit and salads. I have enjoyed watching how the decor changes from time to time, great relaxing atmosphere.

The staff have always been friendly and very welcoming, especially when l have brought a group with special needs to eat here, they have always gone out their way to help or assist in any way.

Sometimes it can become busy during term time, but in the summer it's normally more quiet with groups of international students on summer courses.

Also depending when you go there is the treat to see BA and MA shows, well worth visiting.

2ndreview: The Art Shop
As an artist l love this little shop, when l spend the day at the Tate l pop in after having something to eat to stock up with art supplies.

The shop is very well equipped.. See photos. The staff have been able to answer my questions about products and at times are able to make qualified suggestions on products l can use for a particular project l am working on. My visit here adds to my day out by Mill Bank, then off to the Tate and afterwards a little walk down by the river.

I miss the time when I studied there. Tutors and staffs, in general, were helpful. And campus was beautiful. Great experience!

Unfortunately business cards are much cheaper elsewhere, and as a student it feels like I am being scammed.

After more than a year of lockdown, without direct tuition, use of studios or the inspiration of fellow art students, the fine artists graduating in 2021 have put on an impressive show

I went to see MA Fine Art and Textile Design Postgraduate Show today, alongside Open Day. I know the college has long history and high reputation. Better building than the time I was there years ago. Next to Tate Britain the environment is so good for studying. Workshops are probably one of the best in London, at least. With higher tuition fees nowadays, visit on Open Days across the UAL and other art schools, which is best suit you well before applying, especially if you're an overseas student. (If you have complaints, BA students! speak to Student Union while you're there!)

Universities are based alot of personal choice, preferences and experiences. From the others I visited, Chelsea was hands down the most inspiring and spacious.
The building is stunning!

My tutors and lecturers were brilliant and the facilities were always available.

Surprisingly, it's pretty rare to hear anyone say they enjoyed their uni education. Though I did, Chelsea was great.

Choose where you spend your 9k a year wisely. They all cost the same but you might not get the same back!

(I studied Ba Textiles Design class of 2015)

school full of irony - no spacious studio but force students to make challenging work, poor staff support, and sometimes they lie they have meeting so the workshop should close - but I found out the staff was off on that day, really hard to access loan store, and usually faculty supervises too many programmes, so usually they are super busy - but they don't work after 5pm, and it is impossible to have intimate tutoring. I like to advise to look for other art schools, don't be blinded by its exterior architecture, which seems to be the main reason of the super expensive tuition fee.
