I enjoyed my meeting with Yusuf and can see potential in our work together on my PS. My only issue is that I think he is too focused on the philosophical side of PPE as he suggested I read another philosophy book for my PS when I already mentioned one. Especially since for one university I’m applying to economics and politics (bath) as it doesn’t have PPE. So therefore, I would prefer if my PS is more well-rounded of all three subjects.

My son got the offer from his 1st choice super selective grammar school, I’d like to give a huge thanks to his tutor, Dan. My son was below average in writing skills, speed and vocabulary before we approached Ivy for help in the January of Yr 5. After just a few months of tutoring with Dan, I could see his rapid improvement in writing. Dan taught creative writing in a disciplined and systematic way. He knew exactly how the examiners mark the answers, and how my son could get the highest scores in the English paper. Dan also helped my son’s other areas such as written comprehensions and VR. Oh I forgot to mention he had the sample papers of our target schools!

When it came to my son’s real entrance exams in September, my son was fully prepared- not only he passed the exam of our 1st choice grammar school, he also passed all other exams we applied, and got full marks in some of them!

In terms of results, we have gotten exactly what we were after in each of our interactions with IVY. Our daughters are both placed in a wonderful (and extremely hard to get into!) private school in West London and are thriving. We also count admission into Oxbridge among our results in working with IVY. I highly recommend working with them, Alastair and all his team and consultants are truly brilliant in their guidance and top notch professionals throughout the admissions process.

This company is selling an expensive test calling it an aptitude test which is not suited to kids starting year 1. For your £150 you will get a 2 page results print out with numbers and no descriptive advice what to do to improve all these areas. Ivy will be quick matching you up with one of their tutors. We were told that the test was not all required but recommended.We got 0 insights from it and finally hired a tutor who assessed our son and put the plan together. Avoid. There are good tutors out there without Ivy involvement.
