I can’t recommend Yvonne’s German lessons enough. My German has improved hugely since I started learning with her, and they are by far the best German lessons I have ever had. Every lesson is fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. Yvonne is also incredibly flexible and has personalised all our lessons to suit my language learning needs. If you are thinking about learning German for work, school, or just for fun then Yvonne is the perfect teacher.

I studied with Yvonne while preparing for my A Level in German. She is a wonderful teacher, especially when working with my needs as a dyslexic student. I really enjoy learning German with Yvonne. Her lessons are fun, and at the same time very didactic. She has a very structured way to teach and she pays attention to details, caring about finding the best way and rhythm to nicely challenge and motivate us. She is very friendly and available to answer questions, even after the class. I feel she is also committed with the students, wanting us to really improve and enjoy the language, and this is something I really appreciate.

Yvonne is an amazing teacher. She tailors the class to the needs of me and answers every questions of me with lots of supplementary information. Our study is based on a well-organized textbook and she goes beyond it by helping me have conversations in German and teaches new grammars as they arise. Overall, I feel very grateful to have studied with her for the semester. Would recommend to other German learners as well!

Yvonne at Oxford German Lessons is a fantastic teacher. The online classes are small (usually 4) and that means we all have a good amount of time to spend doing the class exercises. Yvonne supplements the standard/structured material with her own experiences/exercises which is great! The classes are relaxed and Yvonne is happy to answer all questions as they arise. Yvonne shares a word document on the screen to offer structure to our learning, and then sends us the notes and the class recording afterwards for our own personal revision. I was skeptical about an online class, but it is so convenient and absolutely great!

Yvonne’s German lessons are always very enjoyable, interactive and of a good pace. The lessons cover a wide range of topics and Yvonne sends out detailed notes following each lesson. Yvonne is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her lessons!

I’ve been studying German via weekly zoom classes with Yvonne and have really enjoyed them. She creates a warm, friendly atmosphere (not easy to do online!) and gets a very good balance between progressing through new material and going into detail on points of grammar, or culture. My knowledge and pronunciation have improved a lot and I’d definitely recommend her!
