I had the absolute joy of completing a two-month course with Lancashire Adult Learning, lured in by their grand promises of securing sponsors and finding us work. Now, over 3 months after finishing the course, I’m still waiting—no sponsor, no job, and no surprise. What’s really impressive is how quickly LAL mastered the art of ghosting us. They’ve completely stopped responding, and if you think calling them might help, good luck with that. I’ve tried repeatedly for over 3 months—no answer, ever.

They did give us a sponsor for the track induction, but, as expected, we were immediately dropped right after. It’s almost like they knew this would happen all along—probably because they did. Funny how it all lines up with them getting the course funding from the government, isn’t it?

So, if you're in the market for a company that excels in vanishing acts and empty promises, LAL is the one. Just don’t expect anything beyond the bare minimum—if that.

Here for some training, lovely building & easy access via transport links, bus/train. I got the bus, walked over the bridge at the railway station here within 5mins. Lot's of classrooms, friendly reception staff. Other companies in training too. Vending machines on site snacks & hot drinks available.

I would like to say about their excellent organisation, full facilities and assistance for doing my job, excellent accommodation conditions, social activities and friendly and professional staff. The Principal of the College adopted professional methods for staff motivation and was always assisting in the course preparation. In few words, I would recommend Lancashire College for adults interested in learning new subjects in an innovative way. A place to remember for the rest of your life.

Lancashire Adult Learning is a very nice and comfortable atmosphere to study in. Even though the College itself is based in Brierfield the tutors come to towns & cities within the Lancashire area which helps people like myself who lives in Preston.

I first started in 2015 and the venue I have always been to is Cotton Court. In my first year I studied English and Maths.

In my second and my current year which is my third year I have been studying ICT.

The tutors I have had during my study time there were Paul Dickinson, Philip Carter, Sarah Birtwhistle and Tasnim Desai were really supportive, caring and understanding towards my needs and long term health problem.

For learners who have learning disabilities the College provides an additional learning support team to come along and support them throughout their time of learning whilst in Class which I feel is a great help.

I definitely 100% recommend Lancashire Adult Learning to people who want to improve on their English, Maths and ICT skills etc as in classes it’s a small group of adults which makes people like myself feel welcome and comfortable.

I have been there in 1995. While seraching through some boxes I found the binder and material from the classes I had back then, so I looked up if the school still exists. I was there for an intensive individual english course during July/August before starting a new job (the new company sent me there) where I needed to have the ability to understand and comunicate in english. I came from Switzerland and my english was really just "Hi, my name is..." LOL.. I always remember as it was really the place I started to learn english. The teachers where so helpful and patient and on top of it, it was also a lot of fun. I loved the place and my teachers, it was simple great. The course I did was tailered to my needs and regardless to say that after long daily hours and weeks.. I was impressed what I learned in 3 weeks but as well my new company. I'm not sure if the teachers are still there, but would like here to thank Barbara Battye, Karen Rich, Jeanne Wood, Roy Brooks and Gillian Bradley. All the best! Angelo
