I encountered One-to-One Spanish while looking for online Spanish classes to work on my speaking. I got in touch with Marino via the website, who then put me in contact with Sara for a consultation session to further understand my learning needs.

I have been doing online classes with Sara for nearly a year, and what an amazing learning experience it has been! I love the positive energy Sara always brings to the classes and the patience she has whenever I get confused. These classes have helped me massively with my speaking and I very much look forward to future classes!

The lesson content is engaging and the 1-2-1 format allows for natural discussions about different topics and cultural exchange so I learn about wider Spanish culture as well as quickly improving my Spanish!

I got in touch with Marino through a recommendation at my work. He was very helpful explaining how the lessons work as well as assessing what I wanted to get out of my Spanish lessons. He then put me in touch with my tutor Sara, who I have completed weekly lessons with since.

Sara is very patient and makes the lessons engaging and enjoyable. The lessons loosely follow a textbook with activities including translations, quizzes and answering questions on a variety of topics. However a large part of each lesson involves actual conversations in Spanish, which really helps with fluency and listening. I can also put forward any specific questions I have and she is happy to go through them with me.

Overall I have seen great results and would highly recommend these lessons!

Sara is an excellent Spanish teacher. My level is advanced so we focus primarily on conversation and grammar. Her lessons are well structured but flexible enough that we always have time to discuss current affairs, holidays, etc. She's very good at allowing the conversation to flow and then picking up on the grammatical points or vocabulary that I need to work on. We do early mornings before work and I find the Skype calls much easier than having to meet face to face. I'd recommend Sara to anyone wanting to improve their Spanish who needs a flexible and tailored approach.

Working in a international business with colleagues and clients from all around the world, and also having a novice admiration for the language, I had been eager to learn Spanish for a number of years.

I was very fortunate to begin my learning with One-to-one Spanish. After a brief introduction with Marino where we discussed my goals and reason for wanting to learn, I began my weekly hourly sessions with my Tutor, Sara.

Sara was extremely personable from the very beginning. She made me feel very much at ease which allowed me to devote full attention to the sessions in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The course material is concise and I feel, after a few months of sessions, that I have a good beginner knowledge of the language and can read, speak and hold a conversation at a basic level.

I really look forward to my weekly tutoring sessions and building my spanish knowledge further. The sessions are full of progressive exercises, but also have moments where you break away from the material to have normal conversations in Spanish which I find very beneficial to the learning process. There is a wealth of material to go through in your own time, and the One-to-one staff have seemingly endless recommendations of learning methods to further your learning outside of the sessions.

I would highly recommend One-to-one Spanish to any would-be Spanish speaker!!

Having Sara as our tutor has been brilliant, she is patient, knowledgable and enthusiastic, the lessons are always engaging and fun and it is nice to not have to travel for class. The video calls through Skype have been great, no different to face to face teaching. Being private and not a class also enables you to have tailored learning and ask more questions. I also love the flexibility of One-to-one Spanish, you can book different days and times for each lesson. I would recommend to anyone looking to learn Spanish!

I have been having a couple of lessons a week with Sara. Sara is an amazing teacher – very patient and helps to build confidence in Spanish when starting as a beginner. The lessons are fun and well structured. Learning via skype is a very convenient way to fit the lessons into the day. Sara has great learning materials and lots of useful exercises to learn grammar and build up vocabulary. Sara also focuses on teaching the vocabulary that is relevant to the student. I always look forward to the next lesson and would definitely recommend Sara!
