I was initially attracted by the very affordable price LIBC charges for hourly Igbo lessons. I’d say my understanding of Igbo language can be considered as advanced but my speaking is intermediate with lots of pronunciation mistakes and find the intermediate adult lessons perfect for me. Petronella is very a knowledgeable and patient teacher. Although the conversations are challenging for me I find myself really looking forward to my weekly Igbo lessons, 1-hour goes by very quickly!

This is brilliant, quality and affordable igbo lessons! As an Igbo in diaspora, I consider LIBC a wonderful gift !

The colour coded words help to match the Igbo words to the English words which makes it easier for my kids to understand. And by reading and translating the stories, it helps them to understand and use similar words in new stories.
Learning Igbo by conversation has helped stretch my kids on their learning journey. They are becoming more confident in conversing in Igbo and are keen to apply their knowledge in different scenarios.

LIBC is a great community to polish your Igbo conversation skills. They’ve really helped my Igbo speaking and communication. The instructor is always willing to help and make sure you really understand what is been taught.

I have started from learning the language from zero. Well next to zero...I had a two week vacation worth of exposure! Already in two classes I have come along way. The tone markings and sounds have become much easier and familiar for me. I am starting to recognize sound patterns in speech and even some sort of "root word" recognition. I am starting to be able to see how words are related to one another and can use that context to try to figure out meaning. I feel like after just two classes with my very patient instructor, some of the keys to the language are beginning to unlock in my brain. Thank you!
