Nathan has been brilliant with our Irish Setter who started to become reactive to other dogs. We were really at a loss as it was a new behaviour, but Nathan took the time to understand our issues and what we wanted to get out of the sessions. He really helped switch our mindset from wanting a ‘perfect’ dog to focusing on having a ‘happy and fulfilled’ dog. He helped us implement a routine to suit our dog and helped us understood that a lot of our behaviour was causing an issue. After a number of sessions, working on ourselves and understanding our dogs queues, we have seen a huge improvement. Nathan has helped us see that there is no instant fix, but through consistency and routine, we can slowly but surely get to where we want to be with a happy dog!

We have just completed an 8 week training plan with our black lab puppy. We have owned dogs for nearly 10 years and have previously put our dogs through the usual "puppy class" route. The one 2 one training with Attune is so much better in the real world, with real life situations. You get time to focus on your dog and importantly yourself as the dog's leader and you are able to progress with no pressures of others that you would have in a group.

Nathan is an excellent tutor who listens and takes time to explain things. A rare combination of somebody who is a great with dogs and people. We have genuinely learnt so much and I would honestly pay 4 or 5 times the amount we were charged. Our dog at just 5 months old has already gained so much from the training (e.g. off lead, recall, walk to heal, maintaining focus with distractions, integration into a multi dog household, confidence..) and so have we!

Really excellent training that will serve us and our dogs well for the rest of our lives. I would 100% recommend to anyone. Thank you so much, Ant & Vicky.

We’re so pleased we found Attune and Nathan. Lottie struggles to cope with dogs she doesn’t know and taking her out in our busy city environment had got really difficult. After an initial assessment at home we had a series of one on one training sessions with Nathan in Cofton Park. He is patient, honest, kind and his understanding of dog and human behaviour is amazing! We’d tried a few other dog trainers but Nathan was the only who explained why she didn’t cope well and how we could help her. It won’t be a quick fix but we already have a happier, calmer dog who is more connected to us and we have hope and more confidence! I highly recommend Attune. It’s been 10 years since we last had a puppy along with a different lifestyle now we are retired, we felt that we needed some reassurance and we could not have found a better person than Nathan to guide us through. From our very first conversation and throughout out 6 week course we have an excellent experience and our puppy Ruby along with us have certainly learnt a great deal. Nathan picked up my anxiety immediately and worked hard with me and my new rescue Bella. I think I was harder work than the dog. But he has given me the confidence to trust her and allow her space and time. I’ve still got a log way to go but with Nathan’s guidance feel much better placed to deal with Bella’s reactivity.. From the first call I had with Nathan, he offered advice to adjust Woodys daily routine that gave us changes to his behaviour straight away. After that it was a gradual process to work with woody over 4 weeks.

He tailored his approach around Woodys triggers, and showed us the world through Woodys eyes 👀 so that we could appreciate why we were getting the reactions from him and work to make his life more fulfilling and calm, resulting in a much less nervous and reactive dog.

Nathan was there to offer support on WhatsApp, and I loved that it IS NOT a ‘one size fits all approach’ - every dog is different.

When I started training my spaniel was really hard to get is focus, as all he wanted to do was go hunting, letting him off the lead or going for a walk was like impossible/stressful & in the house is stress levels were really high stealing things and running round like a lunatic.. after 1 consultation we worked out what was spiking this behaviour and had a plan in place, as we progress through training you could see a massive difference all of a sudden we had a dog that strolled round calmly focused and engaged with us to the point where you can enjoy going for a walk with him and even letting him of the lead without thinking is going to run off. Can't recommend Nathan enough the transformation was unbelievable way ahead of where I thought my spaniel would be at the end of it.
