My daughter has been attending Top Grades for two years now. She’s moved up a maths set but more importantly maths has become her favourite lesson (previously her worst) and I’m amazed at how much she has grown in confidence. In her own words’I wish all the teachers at school were like Richard because he explains everything so well and I get it.’ She has recently started English too and Emma has been fantastic. Already supporting her with her GCSE prep and due to Emma’s extensive knowledge and training around dyslexia is able to teach and support my daughter in the best way possible. I can’t recommend the team at Top Grades enough!

I enrolled Liv with Top Grades during Year 8 as she was struggling with her Maths confidence. I thought was it too soon but she was becoming increasingly anxious about going to school on the days it was maths days. Richard has been amazing, Liv is now in year 9 and she is enjoying maths which was all I really wanted.

Highly recommended...after a just a few months with Richard, my son's increased confidence and understanding resulted in a pass in his maths exam. Comments from my son (not a maths lover) like "the lesson went quickly" and "I actually enjoyed that" coupled with the end result shows that Richard is the guy to go to if your children need maths tuition.

Absolutely outstanding experience with Top Grades. Richard and Emma gave my daughter the confidence and skills she needed to not only pass but excel in her GCSE’s. She initially just went for English tuition but when we realised how much value it was adding to her education we introduced maths tuition too. You can’t put a price on seeing your child overwhelmed by their GCSE results on results day due to that extra help and Richard and Emma are undoubtedly the right people to help your child achieve their full potential.

I have nothing but praise for Top Grades Education. My son started having maths sessions in Y8. He had started to lose confidence in maths and had dropped below his target grade. Now in Y10, not only is he coping really well with the content of the maths curriculum, he is now on target and at the last assessment, he was predicted above his original target grade. Going to Richard has been so beneficial for his confidence. Anything he has not fully understood in school, Richard has gone through in the sessions and this has helped tremendously. I’m so glad we decided to have tutoring sessions early on in my sons high school career. He will now go into Y11 confident in his maths ability. Thank you for all your help. It is truly appreciated.

We sent our twins to Richard to get help with their gcse maths. When they started they were getting mostly 3s. They loved going to Richard’s class and I am happy to say that after a year it has really payed off as they have both just picked up 5s in maths.
They are now both looking forward to going to college.
