The college was terrible and I remember doing the remote learning for my course that was absolute farce. They shut the half of college building down for 2 years after when the first lockdown finished. They made my course group come in once a fortnight and do online learning in person through Microsoft Teams. They made us do online work and classes on Microsoft Teams for entire year after the first lockdown finished. I didn't learn anything nor did get an education during that period. They need sort out all of the vape kids vaping inside building. I wouldn't recommended going here

Doncaster College (The Hub) is a great building. I have studied here myself and also had the pleasure of having a stall at their Christmas Market event this evening 😀 it was really well organised, lots of stalls, ice rink, helter-skelter, hot food and drinks (including mulled wine) and the cherry 🍒 on top (for me anyway)... a Brass Band playing around the Christmas Tree 🎄 I hope to attend again next year 😃👏

been let down a couple of time by this college, and their lack of internal communication. 3 times have they disappointed members of my family with promises of courses and then at the last minute taken it away from them. I would probably give no stars.
unless you have a direct extension or email address it is a nightmare to contact them.

Applied for a level 1 computer course (i am savvy with computers but wanted a qualification to prove it), was placed onto a level 3 course in games design. Out of 5 teachers only 1 had any real skill involving the course itself, the rest of the teachers barely ever taught a lesson, everything was taught from youtube tutorials made by people outside of the college.
Upon joining in my first week the head of department told us we would learn more by ourselves and get more out of the course if we spent time learning the software at home. We were told to set some goals of what we would like to learn, only to be told by the head of the course 5 minutes later that we wouldn't be learning anything I had wrote down and my expectations were unrealistic. (Considering the learn by self model I thought this was ridiculous)
I spent a lot of time following youtube tutorials and learning the software - sharing little tips with other students to improve workflow, only for the teachers and students to joke about me being the teacher instead.
Everything that I did manage to learn at home was then knocked back by one of the uni teachers who visited the class for 5minutes what seemed like once a month. I was told what I'd done was un-necessary and that i had gone the long way round a task - what I had learned from YouTube like asked wasn't good enough.. yet there was still no actual lessons.
Like an idiot I went back for a second year, putting myself in 12k student debt, possibly the worst and most pointless 2 years of my life so far and I regret every minute of it, I'm unsure on the rest of the college departments but I would soundly stay away from the Creative Media department.

I've been on the art course for two years and nothing made me want to quit drawing more than the course I was on. Not to mention the time I was just so stressed and done I started avoiding certain days/classes. The teachers gave barely any support or understanding. There was no time where I was put to the side and had a talk to whether I needed help or not for the things I would say. I had to do it myself, around 3 times because I was forgotten. A person I spoke to for councelling was very nice though.

I am hoping that changing the course for my third and last year will bring more positives than "There are nice people here" (which is true, I met some great ones) But I am certain that I will not be continuing on the art course only to suffer more and lose my already crumbling passion.

Oh yeah, and the cheesy chips are great.

Very disappointed, been waiting now 2 (July 2019) years and half for my AAT Certificate. Every time I reach Doncaster College they said they are sorting it but so far nothing, always an excuse.
So frustrated😡
