I was Jon's student for more than three years, and I highly recommend his private lessons and conversation groups. His podcast English with Monty is also a valuable resource for those who want to improve their English.

When I arrived in London a few years ago, I attended many conversation groups, but Jon's group was the only one I participated in regularly for more than a year. From my personal experience, it's the best in London. The Monty English Language methodology has a unique approach and gives students the opportunity to improve their vocabulary on all kinds of subjects. It uses cards with a variety of themes to prompt conversation, so you go above and beyond compared to other groups who are always discussing the same subjects, such as "who I am" and "where I'm from.” It's an excellent method for those who want to gain fluency or improve their ability to communicate in English. In addition to that, the private lessons definitely helped me boost my confidence and improve my English proficiency. The lessons were conducted online and customized to my needs. Jon was a great help in making me more proficient in English. He is also friendly, approachable and a very smart guy, who you can have a chat about all sort of subjects. I'll try to be brief and, at the same time, to tell you what an amazing English teacher Jon is. Initially, I participated in the Monty English meetup conversation group, where I spent quality time, having fun and meeting many people. Jon was the perfect host, encouraging interaction between us and guiding our discussions in a friendly and pleasant way.
Since I started taking online lessons with him, I have already seen a huge improvement in my language skills.
About Monty English website I can say it is super easy to navigate, and booking sessions is a breeze. Moreover, Jon is always super prompt with his responses and makes scheduling a snap.
But what really sets Jon apart is his teaching style. He's patient, knowledgeable, and always has a smile on his face. Even when I'm struggling to grasp a concept, he's able to explain it in a way that makes sense to me.

There are a lot of great things about Monty English!
I had been in London for 1,5 years. I didn’t speak English well and other hard thing was I hadn’t friends or someone I know. I found Monty on internet and everything changed in that time because Monty gaves me wonderful friends, social life, English practice and much more.
I didn’t feel like a stranger. In 1,5 years I didn’t miss any class. There are no word to explain how I feel.

I joined the meetup groups once I moved to London and they really helped me finding confidence into meeting with other international speakers and keeping the conversation going through the guidance of Jon, the teacher.
The funniest part was going to the pub after the conversation class, lots of laughs most of the time. I made some good friends which I am still in touch with after almost 5 years!
I highly recommend it to improve your speaking level and also to socialise.
