This is the best training school environment as it's a true community of students supporting each other under the superb tuition of Eddie, the owner and chief instructor. Staff are dedicated 7 days a week on site. The aircraft and facilities are top notch and I felt 100% safe and secure under Eddie's instruction. Great school with mixture of long time instructors and younger commercial guys. You feel a part of the group and get well looked after through each stage of the process. The training is great and the price is unbeatable (especially so close to London). North weald is the perfect airport as a student - nice big runway with a tower to practice basic RT, but not too busy so you aren't wasting time holding like other airports with comparable runways. Go and give Eddie a call, he'll sort you out.

I came to Academy after having getting part way through a PPL at another flight school near London. I hadn’t been able to fly as often as I wanted to there so decided to take a break and try a different school. After two years since my last flight someone recommended Eddie at Academy. They are especially good at providing more intense PPL training allowing me to book lessons on as many days as I can so the training is a lot more coherent and continuous and each lesson has been very focused on the skill of flying and so that as a trainee you get great value out of each individual hour in the air. There office is also a very relaxed place to be while training…. Plenty of pilots are keen to share their knowledge there and I feel like I’m making solid progress after every lesson!

I’m currently training for my PPL at Aviation Academy, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing! Eddie, my instructor, is full of energy and passion, pushing me to perform at my best every single lesson. His high-energy teaching style keeps you on your toes, making sure you’re constantly improving and ready for any challenge in the cockpit. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and makes learning to fly both exciting and rewarding.

Deniz, who manages operations and oversees health and safety, is fantastic. She keeps everything running smoothly and motivates students to stay on top of their exams. Deniz is always there to help with studying, making sure you’re well-prepared. Eddie and Deniz together are the perfect team – they’ve created an outstanding environment.

Excellent flight school… On my first lesson Eddie made me do the takeoff, climb, straight and level flight, descent, and landing. Most other flight schools would begin with just straight and level flight which is very quick to pick up so you don’t end up utilising the lessons to the maximum.

Every lesson I have had at Academy has been highly packed with information so be prepared to work hard but also know that help is available whenever you need. The instructors are very easily approachable during non-lesson time too and also the community at Academy is a very friendly one so there are always people willing to help and up for a chat! ✈️✈️
