Ardington School of Crafts offers fantastic online classes. As I am out of the UK, I've had the opportunity to study many techniques via live online classes and recordings. The recordings are great for those in different time zones. The tutors have fantastic cameras and teaching techniques. It is very easy to see the fine touches in the work we are learning. The class platform allows for students to ask questions, review each other's work, and re-watch the lessons (for a limited time). The moderator is very quick to reply to technical online questions.
I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting to try a new technique or refine their own skills in the arts and crafts. The online platform is one of the best!

An excellent range of courses with friendly, professional tutors who are all very encouraging and positive about our creative outcomes. Gemma runs the online classes expertly and always with a smile. The onsite venue is modern, clean and spacious. Plenty of parking. Lunches and coffees/snacks are great - all hand prepared by Simon and he is very welcoming.

A friend recommended Ardington School Of Crafts to me and, as I live too far away to attend their face-to-face classes, I decided to try their online courses and I’m so glad that I did. They offer a wide range of small group online classes, all led by expert tutors. For me, a few of the highlights have been calligraphy (with Mary Noble and Jan Mehigan), colour workshops and Christmas crafts (with Karen Carter), drawing (with Jonathan Newey) and Islamic Geometry (with Samira Mian). I particularly like the class format because you can either watch live (working alongside the tutor, if you wish) or catch up at your own pace via a recording of the class which you can access for up to 60 days after the live session. There’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions if you join live but you can also interact with the tutor after the event through an online discussion board. It’s optional but if you want you can also get constructive and encouraging feedback on your work from the tutor and I’ve found this really helpful. Gemma, the online course director, has brilliant communication skills and a great sense of humour. Learning with Ardington is fun and great value for money. I’m looking forward to my next online course tomorrow and it certainly won’t be my last. If you’re an absolute beginner or looking to improve your arts and craft skills, I highly recommend Ardington School Of Crafts.

As an avid calligrapher I am constantly and continually searching for the perfect classes that provide the perfect tutors/teachers, subject matter and schedules that feed my calligraphy appetite. I have found all that plus more with Ardington School! I reside in the United States and Ardington is located in England so I was a little concerned with the scheduling or time difference between the two of us but there has definitely never been an issue with this. The platform Padlet was very foreign to me at first but was so easy to learn and is truly my favorite to use. I love the ease and simplicity of Padlet and everything you need regarding the class is amazing right in front of you and always available and easy to find. And then there is Gemma… she is such a beautiful person and has such a precious heart and sweet personality which immediately makes you feel welcomed and cared for and she makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years. I can reach out to her via email and she is very responsive and attentive to each matter and detail.

To sum up my experience with Ardington School and Gemma is nothing less than perfect and positive and I can’t say enough great things about them! I highly encourage everyone to step out of your comfort zone and allow yourself this opportunity to grow and enhance your skills thru Ardington School-you will not be disappointed in any way. I’m am always eagerly awaiting, looking forward to and anticipating my next class with them and you will too!
