This notification suggests this is about the café inside the reception area of Bath College, although the part I'm filling in gives no clues... So I'll review both: Briefly, although it's a little disorganised, everyone's very friendly and they make a big effort to be helpful and fix things, and they're good at finding the staff responsible for the area of concern. As a brief look around the library confirms the academic range & depth is deliberately limited to concentrate on introductions to specific subjects, so they can concentrate on helping in very specific ways and not get bogged down. They have an impressive range of services not related to coursework, to support students, including help with health, finance, travel to the campus, and any other barriers to learning; and this goes beyond and in addition to the usual public services. Eg, if you can get help with a disability on the NHS but have to wait a bit longer than practical, you can get that help a lot faster as a student. A local student pass also gives you discounts at businesses outside the college, and qualifies you for NUS membership, which gives you an even better range of discounts, eg on Amazon products, and the student edition of software licences. The discounts and services do not discriminate, so you're eligible for support & subsidiaries outside the days/hours you normally attend, and the subject areas you're studying.

Back to the café area: There's a café atmosphere in the reception part for meetings etc, with a counter service, and that's very light & spacious, with comfortable seats & tables, and a high quality & range of food & drinks. There is also a section serving meals, although that's currently restricted due to infection control and improvement work.

Bullying nature here at Bath College, tutors I think even encourage this behaviour I've reported it , no reply. The tutors act worse than the young adults from what I've heard and seen. Trying to get a response from reception or admin takes a very long time if at all you end up having to go into the department. That said there are some very good tutors and classes but compared to New Swindon College and Bridgwater and Taunton this college is way behind. Personally if you want to just pass here you only have to turn up and hopefully you'll find a placement or a job where you will actually learn what you came here to do.Being a mature student , male I've had my accent mock, my gender, age, where I live and so on been discriminated against throughout my course ironically Counselling .

I love the evening classes. Great teachers. Have done 2 different classes for several years so far. Keep coming back. On the admin/management level I am not so impressed. But the important part of a colleague is the teachers. So I can only recommend doing an evening class.

Very unprofessional staff. The head of mathematics at the Somer Valley Campus would use inappropriate language when talking to both under 18s and adults and had very little if no support or understanding for those who were struggling. Similar issues with another member of staff at City Centre. Whilst during my interview I mentioned that I really struggled with mathematics and was told in a very loud voice and in the presence of members of the public that she didn’t want me in her class. I continued to speak only for the woman to say to the student next to her “He’s not very confident is he”. This behaviour upset me greatly and has put me off pursuing mathematics again in the future. I was also rejected help on my main course despite asking for it several times. Having struggled throughout the the whole course, the tutor said at the end that she had no idea that I was autistic despite my disability displayed clearly on my application form and the subject coming up in conversation with her and the class many times. My parents made a formal complaint to the college online asking for a refund of the course fee only to receive a very aggressive response from the lecturer denying everything and saying that she viewed me as unfit for the course. All in all I would never recommend this organisation to anyone unless they wanted to waste a considerable amount of time and money.

Horrendous learning environment.
Doing an I.T. course and this is already my final verdict. So I don't just come across as angry, here's why:

Equipment (chairs, computers) is often unusable, and the only time they seem to care is if health and safety is threatened.
Leader of the course is great, she's dedicated and knows how to discipline her class whilst still treating everyone individually. She did most of the classes last year, but this year 2 we have mostly 2 other staff, one who can't control his own class and is inept and awkward, the other talks nonsense on a script and mocks the class as if he needs to feel above them. Total waste of my time.
Library is sufficient; it's a relief from the awful cacophony that fills the classrooms. There's basically nowhere else to go on breaks/eat though, thanks to some recent property changes. Apparently they're trying to sort it out, but they never explain this stuff.
Their support is alright if you just need to talk to someone. And I did, because after each day I felt I'd accumulated more stress than knowledge.

I left school after doing my GCSE’s to do what I was told is a HNC in construction until I found after 3 months of my first year in the course I found it was a level 3 BTEC, the college forgot about me and my class of 4 others. The 2 years I have spent here was a complete waste of life and has not furthered my education in one bit. We have had 4 different lecturers over 2 years, 3 have left due to falling out with the college and then once the lecturer had left none of my classes assignments were marked, which we all put a lot of time and effort into. It’s a joke of an organisation.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COLLEGE FOR ANY SORT OF CONSTRUCTION COURSE.

0 stars for the way they treated our children the upset, panic & stress they caused. 1st day back at collage into there 2nd year they were told there course was cancelled with NO notice given even though it appears other collages were aware this was going to happen!, We had a lovely email from the tutor but again nothing from the collage! So angry with how you’ve treated and disregarded these kids specially what they’ve been through with there GCSEs. Should be ashamed of yourselves . We certainly won’t be recommending you.
