What an amazing place to visit. To see all the amazing things this blacksmith has made just using metal, fire, grips and a hammer 🔨. Total skill and excellent craftsmanship. Would have given five stars but for the fact that the forge was off and nothing happened. Still an amazing place to visit.

We visited the forge this week whilst staying in Cockington village looking to buy 2 metal hearts. Unfortunately they had sold out. Rex very kindly offered to create 2 very different designs for us before our holiday came to an end. The hearts he produced are amazing, we are delighted and will cherish them. We will definitely buy more of their carefully crafted pieces. A big thank you Rex, it made our holiday. X

Just done a one day workshop with Kate Latham at the Blacksmiths. What a great teacher - patient, easy to understand and really knowledgeable. Great balance of demonstration and then have a go yourself. Have returned home with a lovely poker, a day full of memories and having learnt something new. I will go back again as the shop attached to the Forge was full of lovely things too. Thanks for a great day Kate. Highly recommend this activity and a great gift idea too.

Called on the off-chance that they may be able to help bend a metal bracket back into shape, that made up part of my disabled daughters riser bed, as it was not able to work the way it should without it.
Spoke to Katie, who could not have been more helpful. I dropped it down and they had it ready for me the next morning, all straightened out and polished up.
Would recommend to anyone and they have a lovely little shop also, that I will be visiting again soon.

Visited the shop for a horse shoe heart and they had sold out, but told to give them a ring when we were next visiting and they would ensure one was available. Spoke to them Thursday morning to arrange for the weekend and got a phone call on Friday to say it was ready! Really lovely piece, the recipient and others loved it! Thank you

A great place to discover beautiful handmade crafts and watch the blacksmiths at work! I've bought a few things over the years, but most recently a lovely wrought iron cat bowl stand - highly recommended - real treasure trove of a shop!

Our metal dragon wind-vane was damaged in a storm, with the anchorage point irrevocably bent. Rex was very knowledgable and with his profound expertise worked out an elegant solution to repair our dragon very quickly. It is now flying in the wind again.

This is an open workshop with some really original work available to buy in their shop. There are a wide selection of craft shops nearby to browse around but check opening times before you go. We got some really nice ornaments for the garden that were pretty one-off. They do bespoke work too.
