Hear me, hear me, here lies a place where creativity and passion come to die. The management despises the students and enforces a totalitarian, controlling atmosphere. They seem to actively try to beat the passion out of the students and make them compliant automata. Some teachers do care about the students but are still hampered by the upper echelons of the school. The send and art departments do care but are significantly underfunded and under reasourced. Students are punished for defending them selves and are told that they are lazy and don’t care if they seem upset. Bullying form students and teachers is rampant and goes unpunished for months.You should only send your child here if you actively hate or neglect your child. (Some teachers will try to help but the staff turnover rate is so high that you may not be able to spend time with them before they leave.)

Absolutely shocking school! I went here for the full five years, I’ve been through things and have also seen very shocking and astonishing things.
If your child is very academic never send your child/ children here as they do not have teachers that provide the teaching skills that children need to reach for there “excellence” as the head teacher (Miss Rooney) try’s to enforce. (As the majority of year 11s in this year have failed or they haven’t got what the teachers have put down on the predicted to make the school stats seem better than they was )Also the bullying , violence(i.e fighting,weapons and verbal bullying) and drug use (I.e vapes) as they just allow it as many of the students do it in that school.
I recommend you to go somewhere else if your child suffers with MH , autism , anxiety and depression as they don’t have the staff to provide the care and support for your child/children needs. I won’t go into the teachers behaviours as they have already been said in the reviews my thoughts are the same. Vile school

This school is horrible.it was 27 degrees today and no one was allowed to take there blazers,jumpers or ties off. And when it was cold we weren’t allowed to bring extra layers.i don’t recomend this school at all even the teachers are rude such as miss brown! She has told me to get out her face told me to shut up and put a mask on me and said that’s much better. She is the worst teacher in this school and I am so happy I was permanently excluded in fact my mental health has gotten better since. This school drains you. Do not go to this school.

Went to this school in 1998 to 2003 it was okay to be fair we had Mr burger, Mr Lewis, Mr chadwick, Mr Peters music teacher me not like! Mrs Dalglish, Mrs beard german teacher people say she hanged herself! Mr meredith maths Mr Reynolds and Mr Sandford science Mr fitzpatrick geography Mrs reeves French Mr loyld English bad temper needs therapy! Mrs huges and Mr Mason r.e Mrs liteman also the late nigel Osborne and mr williams p.e forgot my kit sir!!! and Ruth Harker was the Head we got suspended for flooding Mr Sandford science class lol the door had been left open good old days! Brilliant memories

Attended here around 10 years ago, decent school but at the time was just P.E teachers covering science and maths during GCSE'S.

Worst school I know . My special needs daughter went there and she experienced bullying from students and a certain teacher. This has happen to many students there not just my kid which is worrying and then being constantly told senco helper was on holiday when actually he leave and we didnt know til the day we took our daughter out of the school. Teachers are uneducated morons and receptionists are none existing.
