The children’s library is an outstanding facility compared to other libraries, and the main library is in a beautiful building and seems a good place to study.
Our experience was ruined however by a very rude member of staff who saw me struggling with my pushchair to get up the entrance steps and, instead of offering to help, commented to the people around her “I do hope that child is strapped in”. I ignored her at first because I thought at first she was just a rude member of the public and then she approached me and said “I work at the library, you do realise there’s a different area with a ramp?” I responded that there didn’t appear to be a sign and as I walked away I heard her say “there’s a metal sign on the gate but anyway” and then heard a snigger.
Needless to say we won’t return as I don’t wish to be humiliated again.

The first floor smell like a toilet, carpets never washed or changed. A lots of dust, terrible for people with allergy.

Amazing library in the heart of the city. Good for reading a huge number of genre of books from history to fiction to anything which comes to your mind. They have printer (Colour and black & white both) facilities too. You can become a member straight away or visit as a guest. Internet facilities are available on the first floor. I faced some technical issues while taking some print outs and approached the staff, they were so kind and helpful and made sure I had my print outs. Really appreciate their efforts. I’m a proud member of this esteemed library.

Who pays for this? Citizens
Whats the most common work schedule? 9-5
When is the library closed ? From 5pm

Is not sensible that they extend the schedule so the people can use it after work?
Or we just pay it so librarians have a job?
