I recently had the experience of navigating the bursary application process for my daughter, who recently completed a test and an interview at Cheadle Hulme School.Initially, we were thrilled when she was offered a place at the school, which seemed like a great opportunity for her.
However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I sought clarification regarding the bursary amount awarded .The figure provided felt unrealistic considering I am a single mum and what they have as a financial assistance in their website. Also did not reflect our discussions during the application process. When I raised my concerns and requested a review, I was taken aback by their response, which stated that the offer of a place for my daughter had been rescinded without any clear justification!!

This lack of transparency and support in addressing my concerns has left me feeling disheartened. I believe that open communication and fairness are crucial in educational institutions, especially when it comes to financial support for families. I hope that my feedback can encourage the school to improve their processes and ensure that future applicants are treated with greater consideration and RESPECT!

Our 3 daughters have had an excellent all round experience at Cheadle. We cannot fault the school in their commitment to supporting all students to reach their potential and learn to become independent learners ready to progress onto university or employment. The facilities are excellent and students are supported pastorally and academically by caring and supportive teachers. Cheadle is always willing to listen to parents and offer support and guidance.

Absolutely a nuisance to drive past when home time is happening, feel sorry for people who need emergency services as they can't ant get past due to all the Traffic. Definitely needs another way of getting in and out and parking bay for all the ignorant parents.
A year later and traffic is still as bad.
It's still hard for emergency services to get past. Kids running out into the road without looking. A year ago I did this review and nothing has changed it still gets backed up all the way to the pointing dog and blocks both round abouts .

A silk tie costs £20! Now I don't know about you, but if I'm paying this much for a tie, I expect it to be fresh out of the spider's rectum, but it's not! Absolutely ridiculous! They could've at least used galvanised square silk.

I cannot fault this school. We have had two children at the school and the support they’ve been given through the trying years of lockdown has been superb. Since ‘normality’ returned the ability to participate in fantastic dramatic and musical productions and school trips is fantastic.

Our eldest son received excellent pastoral care through his transition to university and he is now a well rounded, contented and confident young man. The school played a huge part in both his academic and social outcome.

My experience of Cheadle Hulme School was absolutely fantastic. My mother in Geneva, Switzerland knew to headmaster and his wife, Mr and Mrs Johnson in 1966. I was then 16, and I was sent for summer classes at this boarding school. In the beginning, I spent a few days in Johnston’s house opposite the school at Claremont road. The memories of Cheadle Humle School accompanied so well for my life!
I expect to come to Manchester next year with my wife in order to visit this place.
