Liked: The shower and toilet facilities were fantastic. Thoroughly cleaned and well maintained.
Great sized tent pitch with electric hook up.
Good location.

Disliked: Wasn’t very we’ll sign posted and the onsite bar was very cold and didn’t feel overly welcoming

Read the other reviews they do seem accurate upon initial view but take it with a pinch of salt.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews so I’ll do my best to keep this positive.

It’s clearly a growing site so don’t be off put by the ‘construction’ work going on. These things happen to developing sites.
If this puts you off, just call the site and ask them to ensure you get a decent view.

It is what it is, when it’s finished I’m sure it will be bang on.

We went with kids & like most places, ball games are kept to a minimum for obvious reasons, but the mole catcher was on-site planting traps so maybe it was due to this as there is plenty open space.
Don’t take scooters for the kids, it’s a waste of time with no place to ride them but bikes will be great.

The main bar lady appears somewhat rather rude, she has mastered the resting bit*h face but she serves you drinks so no real issue, either way, the rest of the staff were great. Even the singers were good 😊

We were there for a short 3 day stay, the lodge was fantastic, 10/10 for cleanliness, modern & plenty big enough for a family of 4 considering it was a mini break.

Although we were in a lodge, the toilet and shower blocks were lovely & warm, clean & tidy.

Look at the positive side to this growing business, support them, provide honest updates but understand life is hard enough without someone sticking a 1⭐ review because the site is investing into self.

Compared to other alternatives, this is a developing site, few years and I’m sure it will be great but for now, ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

The site itself is immaculate. The toilet and shower block was impressive, and very clean. The pitches are too close to the road - and the traffic is heavy both day and night. The one member of staff we met wasn't really a people person. He came out with a piece of paper and asked our names. He ticked us off his list, he told us our pitch number and pointed to the toilet blocks and told us where the waste water goes. No one checked to see if everything on the pitch was ok. No information about any places of interest or anything going on in the local area. There is bar on site but I cannot comment on this as we didn't use it. I would give 5 stars for the site but none for the location as we didn't sleep due to the road noise. I sleep with ear plugs but still heard the traffic.

Liked: Lovely new facilities. Best bathrooms and washrooms we’ve seen on a site. Marquee is a great place to go and get a drink.

Disliked: Felt half finished, lots of half built areas and building work about. Quite a lot of road noise (needs a hedge or line of trees) and no gate to site was a bit strange. Pitches a little narrow and tired.

I paid for 2 nights at Cherry Burton 16th & 17th Jan 2025 in my campervan as a solo female. This was my first trip.||When I arrived the touring site is right next to a busy country road. There is no security gate. The site was very quiet. It looked like 2 people were camped there, the other 4 units looked empty and on a seasonal pitch.||I walked round the whole site which is still being developed. There was no one around. I knew I would not be staying as I felt vulnerable on a site right next to the road where anyone could walk in from the road as there was no security gate. I emailed Cherry Burton to explain my situation and asked if they would kindly give me a refund. I got a blunt reply refusing any kind of refund at all. ||Discusting! Avoid this place. It is nothing like the pictures on their website!!!!

Liked: A lovely, spacious and cosy lodge. On arrival it was warm with the electric fire lit. Visited in October and the lodge was decorated with pumpkins which was a nice little touch. Very informative host and site well maintained. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Disliked: Had to put the sheets on your bed.

A lovely site which you can see there updating, the toilets are immaculate and clean and tidy. The log cabins which we had a nosey at look beautiful. We would definitely recommend and go again as slso there's beverley about a 10 min drive away. It cud do with a park etc and maybe a pool table for children, but a fellow caravaner told us that's all in plans. I cannot fault this site so the only reason it's not 5 stars for me is the no child activity, but there on with it

Liked: Nice flat pitch for the tent and all pitches are good size.
The toilets/ shower block looks great and we're kept clean and tidy.
Cherry Burton itself is lovely although not much there except a pub. Beverley is only a 10 min drive and is a gorgeous place to go and explore.

Disliked: The campsite is now under new management, I believe they only took over 6-7 weeks ago.There was alot of work going on around the site with lots half done jobs and noise from banging and sawing the whole weekend - was like camping in a construction site.
We chose this site based on its previous good reviews and website which all mention great evening entertainment and food in the on site bar. This dosnt happen anymore, and was something the previous owners used to do, we only discovered this upon check-in.
The toilets although very smart and clean, rarely had any hot water.
The pot wash facility is just one sink and is not undercover.
The site is close to a very busy road so there is alot of traffic noise late into the night... possibly not an issue in a van or camper but was pretty loud in our tent.
Overall the sites got great potential, I wish the new owners well but, this will be our only visit.
