We lived in China for a few years with our family.
My daughter went to school in China and enjoyed learning the Language.
When we returned to the UK, she wanted to continue to learn the Language.
That's when we came across De Yin Chinese school, it's been 2 years, and my daughter still enjoys learning with them; all the teachers have been great, but her current teacher's name is Kelly. She's so understanding, and gentle, and I love how she encourages the Children.

De Yin school summer camp was a fantastic experience for my daughter. She loved the Classical Chinese dance , Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting and Chinese lessons offered by the camp. Every thing was well organized. The food was fantastic. The academic staff members are professional and very patient. The supporting staff members are friendly and well prepared. Well done . We can’t wait for the next De Yin summer camp.

I cannot praise De Yin Chinese school enough. Teaching standards are top notch, tutors are well sourced and have depth knowledge and proficiency of the Chinese language. Staff including tutors are extremely professional, communication is easy and friendly. We are African family with no basic understanding of the Chinese language, in less than two years of enrolling our seven year old daughter, she is now moderately proficient in reading, writing and speaking (at the elementary level). He Jie,(my daughter’s tutor) is brilliant in the way she teaches her, she is patient and professional with great understanding of how to keep a child tuned in even when they are tired or not paying much attention. Our daughter looks forward to her lesson each week. I would recommend De Yin to any parent (s) who is considering Chinese language learning for their kids.

My son and my little sister both went to the summer camp for a week. They loved it! Dance class was everyone's favourite class, they also enjoyed drama, art and calligraphy. Because all the kids had varying levels of skill in Chinese - from zero to fluent - the teacher taught the inner meaning or the story behind words like 'Shan' (compassion) to share a deeper part of Chinese culture. I appreciated that because it helps the kids understand these positive values.

They made loads of friends - they would have the evenings free to play and run around on the campsite. The end of camp performances were very well put together and engaging, more so than ordinary school plays. My son says he wants to go again next year no matter how much it costs!

My daughter attended the Chinese cultural session in the summer holidays 2024, a 1 week course.
My daughter described it as ,a fantastic experience and wished it went on longer.
The effort put into this course was amazing from the calligraphy to food and costumes, learning the language through songs and poems, it was a really enlightening experience.
All the staff are kind and helpful, my daughter did not know anyone when she started but she felt very welcomed and made lots of friends.
We look forward to my daughter attending the course next year.

My son attended the summer camp for a week, and had an amazing experience and made lots of new friends! He learned language, art, dance and calligraphy as well as Chinese culture and tradition's.

The staff were amazing! Very experienced and knowledgeable, patient, kind, understanding and really cared about the children getting the best out of the experience. My son always asks to go back and he definitely will next year. A big Thank you to all of the staff!

My son absolutely loved his time at the camp. He made friends and learned so much about Chinese culture. I especially enjoyed the concert on the last day; everything was so professionally organized, even the concert programs were thoughtfully prepared. The costumes were incredible, there was a boy playing live piano music, and a woman in a sparkling dress sang beautifully. But what impressed us the most were the dance teachers — it's amazing how they managed to teach the children such stunning dance routines in such a short time. My son learned so much during his stay at the camp.

It would be great if the teachers spoke more Chinese so that the children could practice the language more. The calligraphy tasks were also very interesting, and the assistants, like Ms. Kelly, did a wonderful job of looking after the kids.

We are very happy with the whole experience, and I want to thank Mr. Say for allowing my son to participate in the camp. It was an incredible experience for him. I hope you will invite my son again next year — he would love to join the camp again!

We had been looking for a way to introduce our 2 kids to Mandarin, and after much searching, came across De Yin School. Our kids initially took part in the summer camp. I was nervous how they’d find it, but they loved it, with its mix of language, dance, art and drama, and couldn’t wait to return the following year! We have also been doing online 1:1 lessons for a year now, and they are enjoying these also. De Yin School are very flexible and do their best to fit it with your schedule.
