I've done 2 week semi intensive course. Happy with my learning experience, improved my English, learned new grammar and new vocabulary. Classes are small with little number of students unlike other schools, so everyone gets much attention and much opportunity to practise their speaking. Raul is a great teacher with much experience and a nice person. Keith is a great and experienced teacher also.
Many optional extracurricular activities were offered, which gave opportunities to experience Durham city and make new friends with other students. Great location, 5 minute walk to the bus station and just a few minutes walk to the city centre. Durham is a beautiful city.
School is highly recommended, will be coming back.

I did a three week semi-intensive course. I enjoyed it a lot. I also learned many things, including the history of Durham, English customs and met people from other countries. The topics were very interesting, the teachers were great too. My confidence in speaking English increased and I was able to develop new skills, for example in writing.

I attended the IELTS preparation course for five weeks and I found it really useful and complete. During the lessons the focus was on the weak points and this allowed me to succeed in my exam. I also want to highlight the constant attention to students' needs.

I'm an Italian student and I have studied at DurhamSchool of English for a month choosing the semi-intensive course.
The teachers are great! Thanks to their lectures I managed to pass the B2 Cambridge exam.
Particularly, the teacher Raoul helped me a lot to improve my speaking and listening skills, although I thought it was impossible for me!
The place is awesome, it looks like a museum, with beatiful garden and sculptures.
I do recommend the Durham School of English, I'm grateful for them and I have great memories about it!
