Today marks my last day at the ELC English Institute, and it’s truly a bittersweet moment. After spending 7 wonderful months here, I’m proud to say that I’ve grown tremendously, starting at A2 level and now graduating at B2 level. This incredible journey wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing people who made my experience unforgettable.

I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to a few special individuals who played a significant role in my progress:

• My teacher Freddie, who was more than just an instructor. I learned not only the language but also the value of persistence and passion from him. His engaging and encouraging teaching style always kept me motivated and excited to learn.
• Alessia, the receptionist, whose warm smile and kindness made me feel welcome every single day. She created a positive and friendly atmosphere that felt like home.
• Fergus, the student support officer, who was always there to assist me with any issues or questions, providing solutions with such professionalism and dedication.
• Elisa, the activities coordinator, who brought so much joy and energy with her amazing activities. She made learning fun and gave us opportunities to create beautiful memories beyond the classroom.
• The incredible academic team: Jess, Simon, and Kandy, whose hard work and expertise shaped a learning environment where I could thrive. Their guidance and support made a huge difference in my progress.

Every person at ELC contributed to making these 7 months an enriching and unforgettable experience. I will always cherish the knowledge I gained, the friends I made, and the memories we shared.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and I wish you continued success in all that you do!

I’ve been twice in this great school and I hope to return. Everything is perfectly organized. The teachers are very professional, the administration staff is friendly and helpful. The social programme is various and interesting. They are successful in creating a family atmosphere along with high level of English lessons. Magnificent building. EWB, self study rooms, library, computer lab, lots of classrooms, a small kitchenette, vending machines and kettles...located in the center of Hove. Suitable for business men, doctors, teachers, and people willing to improve their English and/ or pass language exams!

I went on AT teacher course in this school, and I simply love it. The teachers are not only experts in their fields but are very friendly, helpful and generous. I felt very well at this school and I would recommend it with pure heart. The school is in the centre of Brighton, it is close to entertainments and libraries too.

ELC Brighton is a fantastic school. high qualified teachers, high academic level, very good facilities , friendly staff. One of the things I really like is that the school always pay attention to students requirements and help us rapidly with any matter we need.
The school director is a very good person having very good relationship with agencies and looking for improvements at the school.

We have sent many students to the school since 2008 and the feed back has been always excellent.
ELC Brighton is our favorite school in UK, we always recoment it to our students.

I have been with ELC for some time now in fact since 2005. Why I have stayed with ELC and not gone to any other language school. Is that I find them to be very good in all aspects of a language school.
Also ELC are all ways there to help day or night, I feel I have a very good back up in case of an emergency or any little problems. The staff are all very helpful and friendly.
Also the students have told me, they feel they can go to any member of the staff/teachers and talk to them if they have a problem.

ELC have a very diverse selection of students of all ages, which helps them to mix with other nationalities, on all levels academic and social.
The school has a very good social program short trips round the local area plus longer day trips, weekend trips, film nights at the school, which a lot of the students find very good in getting to know each other.. Also on occasions the students have told me they have gone out with their teachers in the evenings..

The feed back I get from the students is that ELC have a good academic level of education on teaching English, that they are all pleased with the courses and the teachers. Not too many in the class at one time.

Also I find with ELC that they try to match student with hoist family, so that they get along well with each other. They also look in to what the student request I.E no pets, children and dietary request.

The building in which ELC is has some amazing architecture also the classes are of a good size. Very near the centre of Brighton City and on a very good bus route to all parts of the city and other areas.

We have been hosting students from the English Language Centre (ELC) for nearly 5 years now, which adds up to just over 30 students from a variety of nationalities and age ranges, and in duration from a two week stay to six months.
There are rarely any problems with any of these students, but if there have been any concerns the welfare staff at ELC are always very accessible and approachable, and very willing to help out.
The student's details arrive via e-mail very promptly once you have agreed to host a student in your home, and payments to us as a host family are also very prompt.
The ELC staff who visit our home 'to check us out' are very friendly and really care about their students and want to provide them with the best experience possible during their stay.
Our students tell us that the courses fulfill all their learning requirements (we have hosted students from beginners courses to advanced and business courses).
The school also provides an excellent extra-curricular social programme to complement the learning timetable for visiting students such as organised trips to London, Oxford, Cambridge, Stonehenge, Seven Sisters, club nights, quiz sessions, barbecues etc, and other sightseeing trips around Brighton & Hove and Sussex.
There may be cheaper courses on offer in the city but we feel that any student attending ELC receives a very high quality course and therefore gets very good value for their money.
As host 'parents' we enjoy the diversity of all the different nationalities and personalities who come and stay in our home. We get to chat about their home, their family, their city, their culture and their language - it's like travelling abroad in our own home, a sort of virtual trip!
We now have lots of new 'sons and daughters' in all parts of the world who still keep in touch with their 'English mum and dad'!
