We've schooled both of our children at Ely College and have found it a good place for learning academically and about life too. The way that the school has handled any issues is excellent and we have always found the staff committed to providing the best for their pupils. The Academy Trust is in good contact with the staff. Whether you have academically bright kids or kids that have more vocational intelligence the College have catered to that. We would also recommend the Sixth Form as well as the Secondary College.

An exceptional college with exceptional staff. I have had three children go through the college since my eldest started in 2008. In that time it has changed and developed so much. My youngest is now in year 8 and I would highly recommend them. Their communication to parents is exemplary, particularly through lockdown learning. Their focus on the development of the whole child is to be commended. As the youngest chooses his options, I have no doubt of the support he will receive as he moves forward.

Our two children have recently joined the school and we are so
Impressed! We were worried that Cambridgeshire schools would be obsessed with academics only but Ely College has the balance between high academic aspirations and seeking to develop and grow the whole student no matter what their skills and abilities. Both my sons are comfortable and supported. I was very impressed that form tutors have both contacted me directly to give feedback about pastoral catch ups they had with my children. Unheard of in previous secondary schools! Communication has been exemplary too. Highly recommended 🙂

Ely college is a fantastic school with superb dedicated teachers and support staff. Recently we have had a new headteacher take over and he is continuing to maintain and extend the high standards that we have all become used to. Despite the excellent quality of remote teaching that has been on offer, I can't wait for the latest lockdown to end so school life can get properly back up and running again.

Ely College has been doing a brilliant job during the pandemic lockdowns.
I am coming to the end of my time as a parent of an Ely College student and would say overall it has been a great experience. I would have no hesitation recommending this school to other parents.

My son only started here this year and as such hasn't been able to have much time actually on site however he has still had an interactive, positive learning experience thanks to the amazing support they have provided during the lockdown. The communication from the school has been regular and very clear. I am very happy with his progression since starting and believe the school are doing an amazing job.

Ely College has improved so much over the years to become a first choice for most people in catchment. At GCSE level (pre pandemic) there has been plenty of support for those children that want it through Year 11 matters. The staff have coped brilliantly over the course of the pandemic improving their provision over time.

Excellent College. My first son attended from Year 7 through to completing his GCSEs before moving on to Long Road, then Leicester University to study English. He would have stayed at Bishop Laney for A levels but they weren't running his chosen subjects then. My second son is in KS 3 choosing his GCSE subjects. Lockdown provision has been first-rate in terms of the quality of the online live lessons, learning support and concern for students' well-being and mental health. Parents and carers are encouraged to engage to the point where it's not clear where College stops and home begins, which is welcome. Truly a community school.
