When our daughter started at FCL she was getting grade 2 in all sciences, and her English teacher at school advised us to not enter her for her English Literature exam and to just concentrate on English Language. With the help of the fabulous Josie she ended up getting grade 6 in both English Language and Literature and grade 4 in science. Josie quickly realised the best method to teach our daughter, and showed patience and encouragement at each and every lesson.

The warm welcome received each week by Emma the greeter, allowed our daughter to feel comfortable and confident, and her kind words, positive nature and huge smile made Saturday mornings much brighter.

My granddaughter has social anxiety and was unable to cope with attending school so is now home learning. We needed help and we found First Class Learning online, once we contacted Emma Orton all was great, Melissa was introduced to Emma Smith her tutor and Emma has done wonders, not only for her maths and english but for her confidence. Melissa loves going to her classes and really looks forward to her lessons and her social inter-action with Emma. There is only 5 stars that can be awarded, I would award the Milky Way.

Since starting First direct learning my daughter is so happy to attend each session.
The staff make her feel so excited to go and really are so lovely, such a positive, happy welcome as soon as we walk through the door.
Her confidence is growing so much already and she is enjoying the work set and has the confidence to ask for help if needed.

My daughter loves coming along to her sessions, she's made friends, built her confidence and received recognition at school for her maths work after struggling previously. I'd recommend the lessons to anyone. The staff are great, the work follows standard curriculum and the regular at home practice really helps develop skills and confidence.

Since my daughter started tuition at 1st Class Learning her understanding and indeed her grades in maths have come on leaps and bounds ! She enjoys the subject so much more because she now understands it! She loves the tutors there and enjoys her lessons

My daughter has accessed First Class Learning a few times to help her build her confidence. She is terrified of Maths but the way the class is structured and run made it so much easier for her to access support and improve her confidence. My daughter is 12 and has zero confidence in Math since starting High School, she goes to the centre each week and has lots of one on one time to learn topics she is struggling with. They adjust each week to whatever her needs are and they are extremley patient with her while learning each topic. They repeat topics as many times as she needs. It is also very cost effective. We will be continuing until GCSEs. Brilliant service. Would defonatley reccomend!

Great improvement in problem solving question timings within 6 months of weekly sessions with FCL. Thank you Emma ( the centre manager), Emily ("very helpful" - our child's words) and Emma who welcomes the children with a really big smile always 🙂
