I have been studying French with Claire Slatter since before lockdown, when it moved to zoom. This review covers my experiences of both methods. The lessons are fun, but informative and developmental and as a consequence my French has developed very well. The topics are appropriate to conversation and Claire makes it very easy to participate in the conversations despite my initial nerves. New tenses are introduced slowly and in a way that gives understanding and a chance to grasp them and use them. When in France I can hear far more vocabulary and I am able to form sentences in my head and then use them - even if most people reply in English!
I would recommend these lessons without reservation.

The course is well structured and easy to follow. Our tutor is friendly and responsive so you always feel you can ask questions. She explains everything very clearly and makes sure that everyone keeps up even if you miss a lesson. I'm amazed at how much I've learnt!
