Caroline is just the best! I was looking for a tutor for my teenager who wanted to learn French as a beginner and came across Caroline while doing a google search. I wanted someone who offered online tuition, has experience of teaching teenagers, and knows the curriculum for different things. Her profile page and experience looked great. Wow - she is as good as her profile information and more. She really knows how to teach and to make a subject fun! My teenager loves lessons with Caroline, even wants them in the holidays. She now has tutoring in her A level subject of Spanish which has boosted her confidence and enthusiasm no end. Caroline makes booking easy and is easy to communicate with. We've never met - we live in different cities - but I hope that maybe she and my teenager will meet in person. Thanks Caroline - I'm very happy we found you!

Caroline is a very kind and experienced teacher and never loses patience.
I have been having Japanese lessons for around 3 years now and even though some things have seemed impossible to learn at first the learning techniques she employs makes it easily possible.
I love her teaching style as instead of giving the equivalent translation in English she actually lets you know what the literal translation is and I find this more helpful when trying to grasp a different language.
Caroline knows many different languages and is able to write them also. Being able to understand Japanese Hiragana is an amazing feeling as it is used a lot in videogames being that most games originally hail from Japan.
The lessons take place in an office in her home which is a nice and relaxed environment. An offer of coffee as soon as you arrive doesn't hurt either 🙂
Having a personal tutor is better than being in a class as not only can you learn at your own pace but you can choose to come back to something later. For example, I had just learned months, days and dates and was going to do time afterwards but had had enough of numbers by then so was able to do something else. In a classroom environment there is no choice and the teacher has other students to listen to. Therefore if you are pronouncing something wrong they may not pick up on it at first.
A friend of mine who had learned from a class environment previously was shocked at how much information I had written down and learned within the first 6 months as she had not got through the equivalent of even half of it.
If you are looking for a tutor then I cannot recommend Caroline highly enough. She is a wonderful, fully qualified teacher and a lovely person who is a pleasure to talk to.
