Some parents appreciate the school's focus on discipline and academic excellence, but there's a common sentiment that parents should also play a significant role in teaching their children moral behavior and social etiquette outside of school. My son attended this school and he made it, I think it is the duty of parents to teach their children morals and how to behave outside. The teachers can only try their best and can't force any child to behave well at school. When a parent has failed at home and now trying to push the work to the teacher then what do you expect the teacher to do.

I didn't realise how fantastic this school really was until we had to move to another city and I had to unfortunately place my daughter in another school. Gloucester Academy is spotless (clean) and neat. The classes are VERY well disciplined. The students are dead quiet during lessons. The lessons are modern and the teachers are amazing. The homework is also done in a modern fashion which makes it enjoyable and interesting. As with all schools, unfortunately there are a few bad mannered and rude children, however, when it comes to the school and the teachers, we can find no fault. My daughter absolutely flourished here! And she loved it!

When we were looking for schools initially (May 2023 for year 9), I was very hesitant as the school had a bad reputation (and rating). But I was assured that it had been taken over by new management two years ago and that they have improved. I can confirm that this is true. My biggest regret is having to take my daughter out of this school.

We are truly grateful for what this school has done for our daughter and we wish them all the best.

Our daughter started at GA in September 23 and we have been hugely impressed with everything from day 1. We never got a place in any of the schools we put down like many from Kingsholm, as we have no secondary school in our catchment area. We got GA and our initial response was to appeal and find an alternative. But then we actually decided to check GA for ourselves and take our daughter for a guided tour as we wanted her to be 100% happy too. We were actually blown away with what we experienced walking round on an everyday school day while lessons were in progress. Our daughter is thriving and we couldn't be happier with how quickly and well she's settled in which is full credit to the staff and the environment they have created. It's quite a demanding school but also very rewarding. In her first 3 months, she's picked up 12 golden tickets (reward for exceptional achievement) has contributed over 700 positive house points and has been treated to a fun trampoline experience. This gives you an idea of how they reward students for their efforts. We honestly couldn't be happier. We're very pleased with GA and we would highly recommend this school. Well done to everyone involved in the huge and ongoing improvement of Gloucester Academy.

I am a ๐“ผ๐“ฝ๐“พ๐“ญ๐“ฎ๐“ท๐“ฝ in year 7 and I must say it is ๐“ฑ๐“ธ๐“ป๐“ป๐“ฒ๐“ซ๐“ต๐“ฎ.Although the food is ๐“ท๐“ฒ๐“ฌ๐“ฎ but a little bit ๐“ธ๐“ฟ๐“ฎ๐“ป๐“น๐“ป๐“ฒ๐“ฌ๐“ฎ๐“ญ and I would like more food options instead of the same things over and over again.its an ๐“ฎ๐“ช๐“ผ๐”‚ school to get around and all the kids know were they are going.I don't like the idea of changing the sets based on ๐“ถ๐“ฎ๐“ถ๐“ธ๐“ป๐”‚ I think it should be based on what they know(there knowledge and understanding of things). It is very strict on how you look and don't let your express yourself. Kids are getting RFL just for having slits in their eyebrows or having piercings. I personally think we should be able to express ourselfs even if that means having coloured hair, piercings ect. I also think it is very stupid that they want everyone to look the same.it is also ridiculous how everyone has to stand outside in all weathers to have there uniform checked.

Absolute waste of time no communication between staff the school is an absolute joke. Do not under any circumstances send your child here. If you child is having difficulties and itโ€™s not working for them here They will not even expel them to give them a chance somewhere else

I think this school is a great place to learn. The staff is always cheerful and so nice, they always greet you with a huge smile. Teachers are mostly very helpful and always willing to go through things that the students might struggle with. I believe that the EAL team deserves special acknowledgement as they deliver an enormous amount of help and support to the students from other countries. I was one of them, and without the ladies from the EAL team I would not be able to achieve so much. I cannot express in words how grateful I am.
However, there is a reason why I decided to give the school only 4/5 stars. I believe I am not the only one who faced multiple problems with cash machines in school. On multiple occasions I experienced problems with them, as the machine took my money without changing the balance on my account. Every time I reported a problem, people responsible for these machines stated that the machine had not register my money, therefore they were unable to give them back. This resulted in me not only loosing money but ending up hungry without lunch for the rest of the day.

I find a lot of their policies are out of date and over the top like the uniform and hair cuts!!!.,..they are terrible on informing you on things that are important to you about your child! And the teachers are terrible and they have had more head teachers than I ve had hot dinners. The GREENSHAW GROUP OR WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLED should be stripped of running schools!!!!!
