I have given 1 star for the handful of amazing staff that supported my daughters when they attended this school. Most have sadly now left. The lead staff at this school are liars firstly. The actual principal is barely there. And if you email him asking for answers to concerns you have he doesn’t reply and just blocks your email address. The DVC department is a worthless waste of space and resources as no one there seems to know what they are doing. They do not follow needs outlined on EHCP’s. The inclusion manager is abusive towards the children. How she still has a job after the amount of people that have made complaints about her I have no idea. They do nothing about bullying and in fact seem to reward the bullies and make them part of the school council! The school may look nice on the outside but many areas of the school are in desperate need of repair. The main roof leaks, the toilets on all floors are in a terrible state, not cleaned and many are out of order. Unfortunately the few great staff that are still there seem to be the ones holding the school together. When my eldest started at the school 7 years ago it seemed like a very supportive school but as more and more of the best staff left the school just went downhill.

We were there for a football match and facilities are good
Litter bins are needed between the pitches to encourage spectators as well as players to bin it not hit the ground with it for someone else to pick up .

My son’s in year seven and he loves it! He’s well support enjoys all the activities arranged especially the after school sport clubs. He has made a strong network of friends and the only thing he has said the school needs to improve on is arranging more school trips during the year. As a school it’s great, education and all but it would be a wonderful experience for the children if they were able to go on meaningful educational trips more often.

The computers are old, they crash and out of order everyday. The classrooms smell like someone hasn't cleaned it in centuries. The departments only care about their appearance and not actually teaching the students the things they need to pass any GCSE's. The toilets are never clean, there is always writing on the toilet doors.

Some teacher's are nice, although they believe any little lie or rumour that they are told, i was accused of being suicidal twice when i wasn't. The support system is fine in terms of helping students but in terms of being accessible it could be improved.

the teachers are amazing but the students could be a problem however only a miniscule one as the school has dedicated student support staff. also the have good facilities such as a gym and library along with (fairly) new computers (running windows 7). the only reason I gave it four stars was because the schools not exactly new and therefore not the cleanist (slightly faded whites, ink and paint stains). the canteen scored a hygiene rating of four out of five.
overall good school would recommend.

I would not send your kids there unless they are going to hit A* them are the only students they care about the only good department is english however, maths is rubbish my friend never gets help with her maths and is trying to move maths class but they are refusing.
It is a bad place and kinda dirty.
Your choice about sending your kids there but this is my opinion.

I was a student here about nearly a year ago I'd say its it disgusting school they don't know how to control the kids there if your considering taking your kid here make sure he/she is a teachers pet i'd get blammed for stuff by the staff there the worsf part is the kids vaping in there i had one once they found it and everytime id go in i'd be forced to empty my pockets and my bag i didn't even feel safe there because if i was to get bullied there i doubt they'll do anything and another thing to mention is how i was told by a member of staff that said "i wouldnt be suprised if you dont become anything in the future and even if you did the best you could be is a bin man" that's why i kicked off and if your kid was to kick off about 2 times in the last month they constantly be on your case all the time but if your bringing you daughter or son to this school i'd re-consider it as i know what goes on in that when i was a student not long ago

Here is a little insight to grace academy Solihull. I went to this disgrace of a school 3 years ago. I was a teacher's pet. Always did my work on time and did the best I could; had one detention in the 5 years I had gone to this school. I stayed on after achieving all my grades and went to their sixth form. About half way through the first year my nan fell sick and needed to be looked after. I went to the head and asked for capationate leave for 6 weeks to go look after her and his response was yes sure no problem. 6 weeks later I returned and needless to say I had some catching up to do. The THIRD day I had been back the head of school came up to me as I just got into the school and sat down at a computure (hadn't even put my bag down yet) and asked to speak to me for a second. He said and I quote " why do you even bother coming in I never see you doing anything you're always talking and never doing work." Now bearing in mind in those 3 days I had been back I had bought up on 2 of my lessons thats 12 week's worth of work in 3 days. I looked at him and said i had just come in I'm trying to log on. He LAUGHED in my face and walked away. I went on with my day continue using to catch up on work. When I got home I had a phone call telling me not to come in anymore. The coward he, is Mr geldor or whatever his stupid name is was too much of a coward to tell me him self and got the secutary to do it. Anyway 3 years on and I'm in an apprenticeship and I'm doing very well. Brings me great pride to say that in little to no time I'll be earning more than he ever has in his life. I was lucky I got kicked out but was able to get myself back on the tracks. The reason I'm writing this is because a wonderful cheerful girl who also does all her work has just been threatened less than 3 hours ago. She has a doctor's appointment that is very important. She notified the school and they said it was okay. Time came for her to leave and they threatened her that if she didn't stay and do her work she will have to pay all the money the school as spent on. The girls deadlime is tomorrow and she's done all her work except a parragraph. A single parragraph. Don't get me wrong I can name good things about this school but does 5 GOOD THINGS about this school outweigh the risks. NO send you're kids to John Henry Newman trust me it's got to be better than this hell whole
