Amazing activities, archery, zip line, climbing, grass sledding. Crafts and scavenger hunt and team building games on our trip too. Spacious grounds, safety well taken care of and so many things to do! Different accommodation from camping to dorms. Guiding shop.

It was so fun the people were brilliant and accommodating for disabled people like me the instructors they were lovely and cinde the activities for kayaking paddle boarding bridge building and an assault course they also have archery rock climbing and abseiling and a load more but we didn't do them it is worth coming even if it's just for a day

15 mins from the city. We attended the fun day. Canoeing, climbing, absailing, drums, bouncy castles and lots more. Great for families with kids from 6 to 16. Only bad thing was the damp weather so bring waterproof clothing. Advise a visit if passing.

A fabulous center with brilliant activities. We used the House East site with the addition of an activity tent. None of our Guides had ever camped with us before, so this was the perfect introductory site. Our rangers are more experienced and ran a Walk on the Wildside Challenge for the Guides. They all cooked breakfast on Trangias and dinner on traditional alter fires. They took part in crate stacking, canoing, paddle boarding, orienteering, bushcraft, campfires, shelter building, haybox cooking (porridge) and we all visited the Archive Resource Centre (ARC). They also learnt how to erect and strike camp with our traditional Icelandic and bell tents, along with how to stay warm and dry even if some did learn the hard way. It's a short walk to the Bure Valley Railway, which we used to take the rangers for a day out in Wroxham, including a boat trip on the broads. This site is in the most beautiful setting with plenty of wildlife, mute swan, frog, mallard, heron, kingfisher, jay, green woodpecker, deer, fox, squirrel and Tawney owls to name a few, so if you're a light sleeper and not the first aider like me you may want to take ear plugs.

3 stars for location and 5 stars for the staff & facilities it provides. One of the National Guiding Centres that hosts various groups for adventure training etc. Access to a river running through the grounds provides canoeing & for really adventurous, there's an abseiling wall too!!
Rooms may be booked privately & I'm told the food is not bad at all.

Lovely afternoon, the children loved Henry, he was really fun to be with and he took time with our youngest, uncoordinated son. Paddleboarding was a great afternoon, we will be back soon. Thank you.
