I'd taken my kids to a pantomime here, but I've previously been to donate blood. The hall they use is very spacious and light, a great setting for many things! The Hirst Welfare Centre also has a nursery, gym, kitchen etc. They also have a stand with free preloved school uniform, and a book stand. Lovely place and wonderful for the community.

It is located just outside of the town centre, on Alexander road. There are one or two Small sign post's on route and the entrance has a large sign. It has a decent sized parking structure front and rear. The activities on offer range from Thai Chi, football, mixed martial arts and boxing. The instructors and staff members are all very friendly and helpful. The site also has a very well equipped gym with staff to offer advice and assistance. Memberships for certain course's vary but are generally very reasonable, my mam was around 1.50/2.00 per week (session).

Public hub for all types of activities including a gym and a public library. Well known for its youth clubs and rooms can be hired for personal use. There is a small cafe located on site and a car park out front.
