In 1997,I took a two weeks course at the International House in Hastings. It was a fantastic experience: the classes, our teachers, our partners, our Host House. I know there’s no IH in Hastings now but I think the quality must be the same in the other. places. Highly recommended! I’m an English teacher and I went with a friend ( English teacher too). My teaching changed completely, for the best , and my students enjoyed my classes.
Now, I’d like to take a listening course, because some different accents make some people difficult to understand. Congratulations IH !

12-18 summer course with combination of excursions and lessons- great concept bad execution

Positives: he liked the group and activity leaders the food and he felt safe

I sent my 17 year old nephew and might as well have saved the money. He had a week there this summer. The excursions seemed to be dominated by going shopping which he found boring and unengaging. The tour of Knightsbridge for example had no time for the Albert hall as 1.5 hours were spent in Starbucks followed by 1.5 hours in harrods.
The afternoon lessons were fun but seemed to lack any structure of learning. Video art projects where kids were making faces at each other without talking are hardly benefitting their language skills. He did say he had aching muscles from laughing lots. So that’s worth 1 star for me.

Misfortune to encounter a group of their students when visiting Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard. Was on the Victory trying to enjoy the ship when a group swept through. Some barged past folk, the poor staff tried to marshal but between the kids and their 'leaders' there seemed little respect.

I had an overall nice experience for my IELTS test when I took it at Barnet College in 2018. I took the test again this year in Covent Garden, I received my results promptly. The negative aspect was how rude many of the employees were (not all, some were professional and polite), they had horrible manners towards us, nasty tone of voice and attitude and no patience, that wasn't the best to experience when you are already tense due to your exam.

The is the best school i have ever seen, the teachers are really kind and supportive especially MariAnne who really helped me through my studies there,thanks to her. To mention the cleanness and the facilities there are outstanding, and the reception staff is amazing.
