Very chilled style of learning, Susie is a great teacher and involves everyone well! The Italian lessons have been especially useful to practice speaking/listening, instead of focusing on writing/reading which I've been used to in the past, although there's still plenty of new words and concepts that are taught and introduced and the format is working for me (and the others in the group). Would recommend to anyone looking to pick up a new language around the area

My wife and I are thoroughly enjoying our Spanish course with Susie. She makes the lessons relaxed and fun and we never feel out of our depth. Her teaching style allows information to sink in and the easy to follow sheets at the end of each lesson allow us to practice with confidence at home. I have joined the beginner Spanish class and find it absolutely great . I had no prior knowledge of Spanish and have found the classes to be informal , no pressure with lots of different learning styles to help you learn . I cannot recommend Susie highly enough . Each class is structured around a topic which is revisited several times over the weeks ahead. The classes are all practical , listening , speaking and most importantly fun . I can’t believe that after 6 sessions useful verbs and vocabulary were becoming familiar and by the 8th session it was clearly evident how to structure simple questions , order food and get directions ! Learning a language in a small conversational group is good fun and I’d say if you’re thinking about it don’t hesitate give it a go .

I would 100% recommend Language Counts to anyone thinking about learning Spanish. Susie is a great teacher with endless patience and empathy with her students. The Spanish beginner’s course that I have just completed was really great. The emphasis was on communicating via the spoken word and I have learnt such a lot in a short space of time, about the Spanish language and how to speak it. We covered all sorts of useful scenarios such as shopping, going for meals, purchasing tickets, asking for directions, ordering food, travelling etc. The lessons grew each week by building on what was taught the previous week and they were always well structured with supporting revision sheets provided. I can’t wait to visit Spain again this summer and practise what I have learnt. It’s been a delight!
