I have been attending Barbara's French lessons for a few years now and I can highly recommend the lessons if you are wanting to start learning French or brushing up on your skills. The classes are very relaxed and everyone who attends are very welcoming and friendly. I have learnt so much and feel a lot more confident speaking and reading French when on holiday. The classes are delivered at a good pace for learning and is a mixture of reading, listening and speaking.

I have been learning French with Barbara for several years now and can honestly say that I love every minute of it. I started as a complete beginner (When I went to school they didn't teach a second language) hence no experience at all.

Barbara has is always so patient and helpful. If you make a mistake it doesn't matter, there is no pressure only an explanation as to where you went wrong and to put you back on track.

Confidence plays a big part in learning a language especially when trying to have a conversation. This is something that I lacked but I am getting there thanks to Barbara's easy fun way of teaching. It is not at all like being back at school, we play games to learn new words and (the dreaded verbs).

I attend the Thursday morning session at Morpeth and we laugh a lot, not only at ourselves but at each other. A great group who get on well together and care about each other too.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Barbara to learn French with. She not only provides us with the materials we need in class but much more. The listening exercises are recorded by native French speakers which puts a totally different perspective on the way we learn. I love it all.

If like me you are a mature person, don't let that put you off either, there are a lot of us about and we need to keep our brains working and one way of doing this is to learn a language - preferably French with Barbara at Lingua Forme.

I’ve signed up for the Audio exercises and I must say that they are excellent. They help me with my understanding of spoken French and I can use them at my own pace. To listen to a native French speaker and have access to a transcript, when needed, is really useful.
