I’ve been learning German with Eva for over 2 years now and would highly recommend her to anyone.

I was terrible at languages at school and always thought I just didn’t have the right brain for it, but as an adult I met my Austrian partner and wanted to learn German to speak with her.

When I started doing a beginners group class with Eva I couldn’t speak a word of German. Eva encourages you to try things out, make mistakes and keep improving through conversation. Pretty quickly we were talking about what we got up to at the weekends, asking each other questions and playing fun games entirely in German.

The classes mixed practicing conversation with learning grammar (very important in German) and as we learned about different tenses and cases we’d fold those into our conversations. Eva made it feel like a really natural progression and adapted the pace of learning to the group.

More recently I moved to private lessons to speed up my learning and it’s been fantastic. I’m making my way through the A2 level. I feel like I’m learning at a really good pace with her and I’ve gone from thinking I was naturally bad at languages to feeling like I’m a fast learner.

I’m now moving to Austria with my partner and am not nervous about the language barrier at all anymore. Eva has given me a great foundation in the language and the confidence to learn through conversation.

I also highly recommend her monthly “Sprechstunde“ Saturday morning meet-ups for a bit of extra practice in conversational German.

Eva helped my teenage daughter prepare for her Goethe Institute B1 exam and the German GCSE. She was a kind and pro-active teacher and flexible enough if our schedule needed to change. Eva always found ways to keep the lessons interesting using fun methods to learn! My daughter went into her exams feeling well prepared! Would definitely recommend her!

I been taking lessons with Eva for the past few months. During that time she has taken me from a total beginner to the end of A1.1 whilst really helping me build my speaking confidence. Eva is simply amazing! She has successfully lead both our teenagers through the preparations for their German GCSE/Goethe Institute exams. She did this in a very professional, yet fun way - a perfect combination of friendly and firm. It meant the teenagers were always looking forward to their learning sessions with Eva and clearly felt that their needs were respected. Both of them say they felt very well prepared, went into the exam with confidence and had excellent results. Eva has also taught our primary school aged son and his friend. She made the sessions really enjoyable for them and they made great progress in a playful way. My son is already looking forward to seeing Eva again when it will be his turn to prepare for the GCSEs!
Eva also has an equally dedicated team of other language teachers, one of whom we are still using to prepare for the French GCSE.

I did a 12 week A1 language course with Eva - and it was brilliant. I was worried about a late after work class (7:30pm-9:30) but Eva filled the classes with energy, and they were great fun. I have been learning German with the London Language Hub for almost a year now and have enjoyed every moment! Eva's lessons are immersive, relevant and fun, and I always look forward to them. I spoke very little German when I first started, but Eva made me feel comfortable and got me speaking the language straight away. I am really happy with my progress so far and with the support I get each week. Even during a very challenging year our lessons have continued smoothly online and have been very rewarding.
