I attended this Chinese school from the age of seven to prepare for learning Pinyin, and it has been an incredible journey. This year, I achieved a Grade 9 in my Chinese GCSE, which reflects not only my hard work but also the outstanding teaching and support I received throughout my time here.

The school’s headteacher is truly amazing. She goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all students. Every festival, such as Chinese New Year and Christmas, she prepares thoughtful gifts for every student. These include chocolates, candy canes, Christmas lights, cards, and even items to boost the confidence of GCSE and A-Level students.

Another thing I admire about this school is how much it encourages students to give back. Thanks to the headteacher, I was able to volunteer and contribute to the school community, which was both rewarding and enjoyable.

Growing up in this school, I witnessed how dedicated the headteacher is to making learning fun and memorable. She always encourages the teachers to ask students to create special projects (posters) for events, and these are proudly displayed around the school. It’s these little touches that make the school feel so welcoming and inspiring.

This Chinese school has been an integral part of my growth, both academically and personally. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who wants to learn Chinese in a supportive and vibrant environment.

Absolutely the best place! I came here knowing no one but as time progressed and I enrolled in classes, I made lots of friends and even teachers became close. I started doing GCSE Chinese here and it was by far the best decision ever. I achieved a GRADE 9 in my GCSE Chinese. You get loads of support and next level knowledge to aim for high marks. Not only does coming out with high grades shows the resilience of the all of the teachers constantly showing support but shows that I was also hard-working to be able to achieve high.

Furthermore, I would like to highlight the Headteacher's encouragement towards all students by providing us with as many Lectures/Events/Activities as possible. People from across the UK coming to the centre to give lectures on topics such as Finance. There are many events that happen throughout the year such as Chinese New Year and Busy times of Christmas.

Finally, I would like to address how volunteering impacts not only my life but people around us. Many of us students volunteer at the centre. Not only is this fun but we can also learn at the same time such as different skills that we can pick up that can be applied to our daily lives.

Absolute joy to learn from the chinese centre. Head teacher Jenny is such a lovely person and has a lot of knowledge of student's potential paths to go into work, further education and more. She also hosts a lot of events over the summer to help the students.

This is a truly brilliant community that fosters compassionate cultural development to young Chinese children to connect them to their heritage in a foreign country. There are some vile comments here from 15ish year olds that have slandered the school with exaggerated misinformation, essentially attacking a 5 year old boy who simply acted like the little kid he was. These teenagers got all their friends to gang up on this Chinese centre, which is incredibly petty and unbelievably rude to do to the people who have worked decades to build the centre up from scratch. MCC has raised me for years, and I love it like a second home.

A place that I call it my second home for myself and my kids. There are always opportunities for little ones to perform during festivals and my daughter was given the opportunity to be a conductor to the children choir in Chinese New Year after knowing she has music background.

The headteacher is a very caring person and her love towards children and the staff can be seen always through her gestures and words and very often she helps to solve problems by giving practical advice or useful solutions. To me, she always thinks about helping others as much as she is able to. Opportunities are always given to the staff and children as well as parents. She helps many parents and children to find suitable teachers for the subjects that their children are weak at at schools. This is certainly an enormous help to Chinese parents, especially those who are not capable and has no time to supervise kids at home.

The centre also runs many other Chinese cultural workshops at schools and private sectors. I heard from many others that they found Manchester Chinese Centre online and the services it provides always tailored to their needs accordingly.

Both of my children learnt Mandarin at the Manchester Chinese Centre since they were toddlers and achieved exceptional grade in both GCSE and A Level. Not only they gained proficiency in their language, but most importantly they have been given endless opportunities to step into their greatest, from taking part at the Manchester parade, serving hot meal to the homeless, delivering parcels to the elderly and vulnerable during the pandemic and new year, as well as helping the young children with their homework……My children always enjoy in participating into these activities and they are proud to be able to contribute to the community. Of course, big thanks to Jenny who have been organising all these events 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
