Our son (15 years old) has joined a summer camp in Fukuoka, Japan, this summer, for a duration of 4 weeks. We are very pleased with the experience with Nacel, and wanted to drop a quick review to express our thanks for the support we have received during the entire process, from an early introductory call several months before the trip, to the completion of the program and return Home.
Our son had a fantastic time in Fukuoka. He's been very happy about the school, the teachers and the education he received, as well as the activities. We appreciated the fact that they were only six students per class, allowing for efficient learning!
Also, we couldn’t have hoped for a better match with the host family, who’s been fantastic and who could involve our son into their day-to-day activities, including some cooking and participation to weekly volleyball training with their own child.
We'll be planning another trip with Nacel next year, to a different location!

My son has just returned from an 8 week exchange in Amiens, France. He had an amazing adventure. His family were lovely. His school was great. I will never be able to live up to the French cooking his host-family served!!! It was a trip my son will remember for the rest of his life. Definitely recommend Nacel. Alexa you were fantastic. Thank-you very, very much!!

Que maravillosa experiencia! My host family in Granada were absolutely amazing - attentive, welcoming, and patient with my speaking. From the Spanish classes and the activities, to the local hiking and everything in between, all around great decision. The Nacel team was very helpful and attentive throughout he entire process. Lo recomiendo para todos los que quieran avanzar en un idioma. Mil gracias

An unforgettable experience that will stay with me for life. 8 weeks was a good amount to do this for. After all this time I can say that it has greatly increased my ability to understand. It has also provided more details about Frace and in particular the piccardy region. Amiens is a wonderful city with the cathedral being perhaps one of the best cathedrals I have ever seen. Ultimately, I would recommend this to any student whether they know a little or a lot of french as the experience is unique and very fun.

We used Nacel International to place our daughter in Italy for a one month home stay with a family. This is truly a caring and trusting organization from beginning to end. Our coordinator, Jojanneke was kind, very responsive and efficient. From the initial video call we had with her to after our daughter returned home, this was an easy and pleasant experience all around. We had never heard of Nacel before this and we were initially nervous to use an organization we did not know. Based on our experience, parents and students have nothing to worry about. You are in good hands with Nacel and we will use the organization again to place our daughter in an international program. The host family was amazing and we are very grateful to our contact at Nacel. Thank you Jojanneke!

My son joined the Macon soccer + French summer camp in July.
He liked playing soccer in the morning with the other kids, the sports facilities, the food and the opportunity to learn French in a genuinely French environment.
What he disliked was that several kids set him apart as "the Italian" in several occasions, with none of the staff noticing; also, a teacher plainly asked him whether his family was connected to the Mafia – this might have been a joke, but not funny really.

I believe the camp was not set up as for international kids: even though we were looking forward to a mostly-French environment, we were not prepared to find out that only five or six kids were actually international, and, most of all, that the staff were not really dealing with the language challenges.
As an example, in the first afternoon the rules of the camp and weekly program were explained in fast French. When my son pointed out that he could not understand a few things (he is A2-B1 level so he is quite good), the staff replied to him "never mind". They did not try to explain in easier French. Same for the rest of the two weeks.

The first week I left my kid at a camp where nobody could speak English. This is unacceptable in a set up that is supposed to welcome international kids, because it is not safe. Somehow, someone needs to be able to communicate with the kids in case of emergency, at least in English (I am not asking for Italian, at least English).

Regarding the French classes, after our complaints, they improved somehow - however, I believe that grouping kids with a totally different level of French (from B1 to beginner) in the same class is not how language classes should be offered. When we asked to withdraw my son from the French class (without wanting any money back), we were told this was not possible - however, two other kids were allowed to do exactly that by the local staff, after they pulled a tantrum.

In conclusion, good facilities, but the camp does not have the set up that I have seen in many other international camps, so we will not go back.

Our 15-year-old daughter participated in the course offered by NACEL in Fukuoka Japan for 4 weeks. It was an incredible experience for her and we enjoyed seeing how she was able to advance in the language, meet new people and enjoy everything. They picked her up at the airport and dropped her off at the residence where she stayed. In this place there was a lady in charge, who gave them breakfast and dinner, a charming woman who was always aware of our daughter and the others who stayed in the place. The school where he took the courses was very good and organized, the excursions were beautiful. I can only thank you for everything and I openly recommend it, there was always communication with NACEL prior to the trip, everything was correct, everything went perfectly.

A fantastic experience for all: student, family, and host family. Exchange programs are loaded with feelings and can be a roller-coaster of emotions with the highest being really high and the low being life lessons. NACEL was always there assisting whenever required and organised things in France for the students remarkably well. A trustworthy company to entrust your kids and their one-in-a-lifetime-experience to 🙏🏽 Thank you NACEL !
