The National Trust's Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd are beautiful areas that offer a variety of hiking trails for visitors to enjoy. The location is easily accessible from the train station, and there is ample parking available on site. The area is also home to a National Trust cafรฉ, making it convenient for visitors to grab a bite to eat during their visit.

One of the highlights of Carding Mill Valley is the Little Spout Waterfall, which is best accessed by hiking up rather than down. It's recommended to wear good footwear, as the rocks can be slippery when wet. There are also plenty of spots for picnicking by the river, as long as visitors follow the 'leave no trace' principle.

Another popular attraction is the Pole Bank trig point, which offers stunning views from the top if the weather is clear. The hike up to the trig point is steady but worth the effort for the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Lovely area with plenty of varied hikes. Easy to get to from the train station. Also ample parking at Carding Mill with National Trust cafe on site. Good footwear recommended especially if you're heading up to the Little Spout Waterfall as it's often wet and slippy on the rocks (best to do this up rather than down). Lots of areas to picnic by the river (LNT leave no trace) if weather permits. Pole Bank trig point is a steady hike up and worth it for the views if weather is good.

Walking paths very clean and clearly marked in the majority. Some areas a bit harder to climb and can be crowded at popular spots like the water fall. Beautiful area, lots of wild ponies about.

We walked the National Trust Long Mynd (Burway Loop) in late January. It took around three hours, with some breaks for tea/snacks etc., and a relatively gentle pace. There is a good incline for a first part of the trail, but itโ€™s very easy once youโ€™re up to the top. Fantastic views, well maintained trial, ample parking, and lots of wild horses. A beautiful place to visit. Will be back in the summer time.

Absolutely stunning place to explore. Visited in February. The paths can be very difficult, very rocky and can be narrow at times. Would need to wear proper gear if going in cooler months on those trails. 10/10 experience. Would recommend.

We walked the green route from the cafe national trust car park ยฃ6 all day or free for national trust members.

We walked/scrambled upto the water fall u definitely need walking shoes on and to be steady on ur feet turn right up the very steep steps and Carry onto the green route to the left at the top and follow the route around lovely picturesque view from the top well worth the walk up but I will try the pink route next time.
We took storm the dog kept her on the lead but let her dip in the streams going up. Cafe down the bottom is very dog friendly can go inside. Toilets at the side here too.

What a beautiful but intense hill climb and walk. I had a really nice day. I even took sandwiches to eat up the top of the hill/mountains but without thinking I stroked the horses ๐ŸŽ so demented from the mountains and washed my hands and went back up in the car to further enjoy the views. Absolutely wonderful scenery here really breath-taking ๐Ÿ˜€. I would not recommend this walk for anyone with a heart condition as once you start the walk there's not really an option to turn back. lady's make sure you go toilet first as it's a long wait to get back to civilization.

Some of the most beautiful scenery I have seen. Walk alongside babbling stream with waterfalls. Relatively easy walk with easy parking and nice tearooms. Then, for a challenging drive, traverse The Long Mynd.
(Not for the faint-hearted or inexperienced driver) but breathtaking.
