PGL Liddington is a fantastic experience. My daughter went with her classmates in February and she had a blast! There were adrenaline pumping activities at a wonderful location and every day was a bundle of excitement and adventures to look forward to. However, the food at PGL is quite average. There is not many choices available and most of the food there is quite bland. Beside this, the showers they have, take quite a while to warm up so if you are sharing a bedroom with your family or friends you will end up having a cold shower in a hurry. Additionally, the water pressure of the showers are a bit strong. On the other hand, the service at PGL is great. The staff is well trained and comforts you if you are scared of attempting an activity. The staff is also very fun and nice to talk to. For example, if you have any queries and you email PGL, their response is quick and makes sure that your problem is sorted before anything else. In summary, I think PGL Liddington is a delightful experience and is worth going again. 😊

It's ok.
Schools & children's clubs use it as a safe environment for kids to "find themselves" or for getting new pupils to mesh together at the start of the year. £600 for a week of activities per pupil puts it out of reach of most families on a tight budget. I guess that's why it's mostly private schools that I saw in attendance when I worked there.
I see that PGL have tightened up their job descriptions now, as well as their basic pay...
Gone is the Centre Support Assistant - a glorious job title for a litter picker and bin emptier.
Also gone is the driver position - where you'll drive a broom across that courtyard this week, next week you'll drive this wheelbarrow from "here" to "there"... And the following week you'll drive this vacuum cleaner down this hallway and into these sixty odd multi-occupancy bedrooms in a day before the new arrivals.
Some sites have meals included and on-site staff accommodation provided... if you are staff, expect to lose half of your hourly pay for these, bringing you to way below minimum wage.
That said, you'll have plenty of time to lose weight. On-site gym or... in the course of my season with them, I walked an average of nine miles a day (picking litter up and emptying bins) which over the 8 month season accounted for 2500 miles... Compared to actual driving for them of 2000 miles. I lost five stone in weight and dropped from a XXXL to L size and from a 52 inch waist to a 40. So you're going to be paid to lose weight and get way fitter than you've ever been now or since.
Have fun!

Beautiful forest trails and activities were fun. Food reached expectations. Bed sheets, duvet covers and pillows had too many stains on them though so cleanliness of the rooms really needs to be improved

All I can say is what are horrible experience, if I could I’d give it a 0.5 star. First of all, rude staff horrid to be exact, only one was kind. Secondly, there was food wrappers in my bed from the previous people DISGUSTING 🤮. And there was mould on the shower head and the bathroom floor, at this point I don’t think there are even cleaners because there was brown on my bed, who knows what that could be. And finally, HORRID GIFT SHOP WORKER, when my daughter went on a camp trip to PGL there was an extremely spiteful shop worker laughing at her and accusing her for lying. She tried to buy gifts for our family members including me but this woman wouldn’t allow it and called over a teacher of her school and told her lies. I can’t say it any better WHAT A Terrible experience!

Smelled like poo when we came into the room first, shower flooded, food wrappers in bed, food was very bad and ordered a pasta and it was dry, traumatic, "water activities", blocked toilet, overpriced for hell activities, worst place on earth, would rather go to one on another planet. Would rather rate 0 stars if it was possible.

Food was decent, but you couldn't get yourself a hot drink like coffee or tea if you were under 18 years old and this is kinda ridiculous. I understand that little kids could hurt themselves with an hot drink, but I would suggest a lower limit like 14 or 15 years old. Staff is kind and caring for the group. PGL says on many signs hung around that wifi is available for guests that are in a group with a group leader, but when I went to ask for the password they said I couldn't have it because only group leaders can access the WiFi. If we had known that we could have bought a SIM card for the UK since we are not UK citizens, and this could have prevented many problems.
The room wasn't clean, there were stains on the bed sheets and floor.
In our room there wasn't a wardrobe even if the room is very spacious.
I came back one year later and the food wasn't better, they've put signs to raise awareness about food waste, but I theorize that putting salt in pasta while it's in boiling water and avoiding overcooking it could reduce your food waste by 10-15% considering every Italian person avoids eating it, activities were organised in a very worse way, especially Laser Tag in which the blasters were confused between the teams so the blue team was composed by people of both teams (red and blue) causing people not playing at all due to friendly fire that should have never occurred. When the problem was presented to the staff they showed no solutions to a problem they caused. As you see in the video, there is a huge crack on the ceiling that has enlarged during our stay of ten days. I reported the issue and no action seems to have been taken (but they still go proud of their safety standards when part the ceiling seems to be coming down on people's head on its own). Covers and blankets were (again) very very dirty

Just got back from bringing a large group of school children here and think they do an absolutely stellar job here at PGL Liddington.
They've had a refurb in the last year so the dorms and gift shop all look much better than they did before.
The staff are very good with kids of all ages and physical abilities and they are responsive to feedback. Management are keen for your school group to have the best possible experience.
I recommend booking in for Archery Tag if you bring a school group, and you certainly can't miss the Big Swing.

I went here on a school trip It was really fun but rooms were quite small but that's fine, but the food was terrible the chicken looked under cooked the beans tasted like they were watered down the chicken nuggets tasted like rubber the jacket potato was covered in too much salt and pepper and the cheese on top of it was like plastic and no one finished there meal fully even though they were really hungry everyone was saying that the food was terrible. Also after everyone got really ill with the same thing it could of just been something spreading around or it was food poisoning the tap water also tastes really bad so in conclusion this place is really good for activities it's fun buy the food is terrible. There were also rat traps everywhere and chewed up carpet I don't know what that's about.
