Thankyou for a brilliant course today on pasta and sauces. The recipes were perfect, with everything we made looking and tasting fabulous. Robin is such an experienced chef and it shows in everything he does, getting the message across in a friendly, relaxed manner.
The six hour course was excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend Oakham Cookery School to everyone and hope to be back soon.

I can't recommend this place enough. The group size is small so it feels like personal tuition. The teaching from Robin and Jim is first class, all about encouraging you to develop your own intuition and cooking brain, rather than relying on simple directions. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the stocks and sauces course, but it was just the most enjoyable and informative day out, and I learnt some really valuable fish and meat cookery along the way. Photos are my efforts at home 2 days later! Thank you Robin and team. I will be back!

I attended the Fish Master Class over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
Robin ran the day with a good measure of humour, anecdotes and clear, concise instructions delivered in easy to manage chunks.
The recipes were straight forward but delivered impressive and delicious food and I came away enthusiastic about cooking these dishes again for my nearest and dearest.
The recipes were emailed over to us a few days after the course and my questions about them were answered promptly.
I'd really like to go back on another course, highly recommend.

What an amazing day. Robin is such a great teacher, so inspirational and knowledgeable. We cooked 4 different curries, all tasting delicious and authentic, with enough to take home for another meal.
The kitchen workshop space is brilliant, really well thought out and everything you need at hand for all 8 of us students.
This was wonderful Christmas present, that will in effect last for ever as all curries I cook in the future will be based on this new found knowledge.

I am going back in the Summer for a BBQ course- can't wait.

Wow what a great day! I learnt so much from Robin about barbecuing and I just cannot wait to be more adventurous back home. My wife had attended previous courses on Thai food as well as Stocks and Sauces. Today we went as a couple and I can honestly say I now understand the magic of learning from a passionate teacher through hands on cooking amongst a small group of like minded people. We will be back!

Excellent day out. Learnt a lot, enjoyed the cooking, all the tips and will definitely be back. I've done a few of these kinds of days and I have to say Robin has done a brilliant job of bringing his years of experience to life in the many classes he runs. We did Classic French and made lots of lovely dishes, ate them all and went home very happy! Thanks for a great day 🙂

I attended the Indian street food course last week and I really enjoyed it. Robin was friendly and funny and each step was clearly presented in a way that was easy to follow with lots of tips and ideas given to. Along with the delicious food we got to make, Robin also presented videos he had taken on his travels which were interesting as well as some superb, vibrant photography which really lent itself to the atmosphere. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Rutland Cookery School and would love to attend another course in the future.

I've attended two courses in the last 10 days and I genuinely don't know what Robin, Karen and their team could do to improve the experience. Robin (who leads the classes) is a highly experienced chef and is so keen to pass on his knowledge and experience to leave you excited about what you have achieved during the day. It is obvious that he has gone to extreme lengths to ensure that when you leave the class you feel inspired and able to go away and make the recipes. The class is a great mix of making lots of food but also learning about the origins of the dishes you are making. Thank you so much - I can't wait to join you on future courses.
