Gemma tutored my home-educated son through GCSE Spanish, in which he obtained a Grade 9 at the end of Year 10. She is patient, encouraging and really understands where her individual students are at. She also tutors my younger son and has adapted her teaching style to suit his different learning style. She instills confidence in learners and naturally knows what each student needs to help them progress to the best of their ability and potential. Gemma is highly organised and always a pleasure to communicate with. I highly recommend her tutoring services to anyone who wants to develop their Spanish skills.

Learning Spanish with Gemma is absolutely wonderful. In less than eighteen months my wife and I have begun to successfully master this complex and challenging language. Gemma’s passion and style of tutoring are ideally suited to absolute beginners and those ‘with a few phrases’, alike.
She has incredible patience, empathy and a perfect understanding of both English and Spanish idioms and is therefore perfectly positioned to impart her knowledge and encouragement faultlessly. I cannot recommend Gemma’s approach highly enough.
My wife and I have holidayed many times in Spain and now after Gemma’s tutoring we finally have gained the confidence to try and converse in Spanish. The result has been highly rewarding.
We look forward every week to our Spanish lesson on Zoom and just love the group we study with and of course Gemma herself, with her great sense of humour, incredible patience, constant support and un-diluted encouragement.

I took my baby to Gemma’s classes from when she was a few months old until recently (as I am going back to work). I have to say we both learned a lot! Gemma is energetic and enthusiastic, as well as being very knowledgeable. My child loved the singing and musical instruments and I loved it enough to recommend the class to my mum friends. Definitely worth taking your little one to!

What can I say about Gemma?!! Well to start: Gemma is an amazing spanish teacher, brilliant with kids and an all round lovely lovely person! It’s these qualities that have made us cling on to her for so long. Gemma has truly become like one of the family - our daughter (now 5 years old) has been learning with her since 8 weeks old! Starting with the fantastic Spanish Songs in the park, she progressed to spanish play-dates in the park, and is now doing more structured spanish classes. Our daughter has always looked forward to Gemma’s weekly sessions, and owes her developing spanish proficiency to her. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Gemma and have her guide our daughter in these early years of learning and development.

Gemma is a fantastic teacher. She makes you feel super comfortable, even if you feel like you’re making silly mistakes. Her lessons are always challenging enough to make you progress, but also fun so that you enjoy it and want to do more. I also really like the teaching style and the techniques she uses - you are learning real Spanish and how to use it in real life. It’s not your bog standard textbook kinda course where you learn a lot of grammar and rules but can’t actually use it in practice! Highly recommended!

Gemma tutors my daughter. My daughter had missed over a year of Spanish at senior school. She has not only made up the missed content , she's performing at the top of her group and exceeding her targets thanks to Gemma!

Gemma is a lovely, patient teacher of Spanish. The TPRS conversation method she uses is a perfect way to begin your journey into the language, by not just learning vocabulary and grammar but how to use them in the way a Spanish person would. Highly recommended
