I’d been looking for Spanish classes in London for about 6 months before I found out about Stripey Spanish. As much as I wanted to learn Spanish, what I really wanted a positive social group to be a part of and Stripey Spanish combined both. I took their level 2 classes and I found the people to be so kind and welcoming, as well as the teacher, Carla, to be incredibly knowledgeable and she did a fabulous job inspiring and encouraging people to engage with the language without any fear of making mistakes. The social classes were fun but also they gave me a lot of Spanish vocabulary and phrases that can be used outside of what you would learn preparing for a test. Carla makes such an effort to make sure students have a variety of resources to help every learning style. This is a fun way to learn Spanish with that social aspect that can be hard to find in London!

I highly recommend Carla's classes. They are such a great mix of learning, meeting new people, and trying new things, like cooking Spanish food and conversation classes in a tapas restaurant. I was new to London when I joined Stripey Spanish and found myself looking forward to the class every week. Carla is so friendly and passionate about teaching and the resources she provides are worth every penny. Excited to start Level 2!

I have been studying with Carla since June 2024 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time in her Spanish School. The style of learning is really engaging - blending games and conversations with grammar discussions.

The school also puts on lots of events during the year, allowing us to engage with Spanish-speaking people and cultures!

Going to the classes has given me the confidence to travel to Spain and practice with locals!

I joined the Stripey Spanish school a couple of years ago when I first moved to London, and the experience has really been beyond my expectations - I love that the classes are so social and get you to practice in real-world applications like cooking, wine tasting, table tennis… The teacher (Carla) has been so charismatic and caring as well, always dedicated to creating a safe and fun environment that keeps me coming back. It’s been such a great way to learn and tap into a local community, would absolutely recommend to anyone!

I've been taking classes at Stripey Spanish since Spring 2024 and cannot recommend it highly enough ! Carla has curated the most fun and supportive learning community. She ensures that lessons are fun and interactive with everything from cooking classes, to ping pong and mezcal tasing, and makes learning a new language much less intimidating ! I've just completed Level 1 with Stripey Spanish and it's been a great learning experience, full of interaction with a lot of knowledge gained in a short space of time. I have just finished my level 1 course with Stripey Spanish and could not recommend it more highly. Carla is a fantastic teacher who is so encouraging and inspires you to really give it a go. I’ve been so impressed with her innovative techniques for us to all learn and remember Spanish. Closed out the course with a fabulous cooking class where we practiced what we had learnt but had a lot of fun along the way. Looking forward to level 2
