Sue Gardner is a superb artist with a wonderful capacity to use colour in the most unexpected way to enhance her paintings. We couldn’t resist one of her donkey paintings which has pride of place in the sitting room. She is utterly reliable and completely trustworthy. Our painting arrived beautifully and safely packed with a note from Sue saying if we weren’t completely satisfied with it we could return it and our money would be refunded. Of course there wasn’t a chance of that happening as we fell in love with it even more as soon as we saw it for real rather than on her website. As well as being a very talented artist Sue is a lovely person whom we regard as a friend now.

As an expat living in the Netherlands I have always been intensely proud of my Scottish heritage and love highland cows! I contacted Sue about commisioning a piece after I saw her amazing highland cow paintings online. She was quick to respond, so friendly and helpful, listening to my wishes and making sure she didn't disappoint. The finished product is absolutely perfect and brought a tear to my eye, my very own highland cow. Thank you Sue!

I have a wonderful painting of my dog that Sue did for me. It captures his nature perfectly. I have it hung at the bottom of my stairs and can't walk past it without smiling 🙂 she really is an amazing artist and her paintings are just so full of life! Beyond that she is a lovely human being and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.

I have just been to one of ashes workshops and it was a fantastic day. She was lovely and welcoming, the venue was perfect with a lovely room and facilities and a little cafe. The workshop itself was so good. Sue gave such great instruction, just enough detail and at the right pace for us all to follow easily and plenty of support when needed. We all produced great paintings and went home very happy. Thanks Sue x

A brilliant time at the Moon-gazing Hare workshop at Sharpes Pottery. Sue was a great instructor, guiding and demonstrating through the painting process step by step to produce a really nice picture. Will definitely be attending another workshop and would definitely recommend, even if you haven’t painted before - which I hadn’t!
