Emma and team were invaluable in helping us settle our Romanian rescue Otis. Otis came to us a very scared and timid dog who wouldn’t leave his crate for the first 3 days. He’s now completely come out of his shell, happy, healthy and confident! I would recommend Emma and the Surrey Dog School team in helping with any dog training but especially in helping settle a nervous rescue. Special shoutout to Otis’ doggy friend Chief 🐾who helped him get used to being around other dogs.

Emma was absolutely amazing with helping my pup get past his car anxiety. Before we started training with Emma, he would stop walking when we approached our car and refuse to go anywhere near it. When in the car, he was anxious, scared, and threw up 90% of the time so we stopped taking him on car journeys. This massively restricted the amount of fun places that we could take him, as we didn’t want him to be uncomfortable during the journeys. Emma has worked with our puppy for a few months, and he is now so enthusiastic and even jumps into the car on his own! We are working on building up longer journeys but we couldn’t have got to where we are without Emma’s skills, knowledge and hard work. The change is absolutely incredible, and we are so grateful! Our pup is also a huge fan of Emma’s, and is so excited when he gets to see her! 😄 Thank you so much ❤️

Sarah and Louisa could not have been more helpful and kind.

We got our puppies a year ago and started with some 1-1 training and zoom group sessions. One of the puppies was a bit tricky. She refused to walk and was terrified of everything! Sarah and Louisa spent time showing me how to gain her trust and after 1 session, and lots of homework, we had cracked the problem.

Even though our sessions have finished they will always take the time to help with any little questions and remember the small stuff, which is just lovely.

Sarah and Louisa are life savers! We rescued Penny the beagle and quickly got in touch with Surrey Dog School to help us train Penny and sort out some particularly disruptive behaviours. From the off Sarah and her team have been friendly, proffesional and really helpful. Sarah called me to discuss options and get to know what we required. Even on that first fact finding call she was peppering the conversation with supportive tips that meant we could work on improving Penny's behaviour immediately.

The service we have had has been above and beyond on multiple occasions. Be it phone calls when we were in crisis mode, to helping us in the pet food shop to try out different treats, chews and rewards to support the training. They look at the whole picture, from the food, treats, environment, walks and more - enabling a really focused bit of training.

Their support and guidance gave us the confidence to know that her disruptive behaviour could be trained out and that there was light at the end of the tunnel! We've been able to see Penny blossom into an adorable, cheeky beagle.

The one-to-one training sessions have been highly customised to Penny's needs, and we learn so much in that time. Afterwards the sessions are followed up with detailed notes, and exercises to continue improving penny's behaviour - and they work, really well!

The whole team clearly care about dogs, and the service they provide - they're non-judgemental, supportive and really champion positive reinforcement, watching them work is really quite amazing - they get the best out of the dogs, and us owners too!

We are so happy we found Surrey Dog School.
Our dog has had an amazing transformation since working with Emma. We never thought we would be able to allow him off lead, as he always ran off, but now he comes back when called and is able to enjoy his walks so much more.
We are still working on his lead training, but even that has improved ten fold.
Can thoroughly recommend Emma and the team. They know what they are doing, so just listen and learn...
