Lovely place for a morning coffee with a friend. Chocolate cake was delicious! It was busy when we arrived about 10.30 but service was quick and friendly. It got busier towards 12pm. The staff remained friendly and cheerful to customers throughout. Toilets are lovely and clean too.

I have been here several times when visiting my family who live in the area. We always get such a fantastic, friendly welcome and the staff are so kind to my blind dog. We have always enjoyed our food here - freshly prepared and tasty. Today we had various coffees. cakes, a jacket potato with a huge helping of egg mayonnaise and 2 large sausage rolls with salad on the side. Can't fault it and wish I lived nearer! Thank you ladies.

This community centre and coffee shop are a wonderful facility for the area, the quality of the food, cakes and drinks is outstanding. As with all venues that make fresh food to order you need to allow time for the food to be prepared for you (sandwiches don’t make themselves) and the staff work very hard to ensure the quality and service are top notch.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it is always spotlessly clean.

Disappointed to have to edit my review of 2 years ago with more negativity.
After a 2 year break from going to breakfast at the Brookfield cafe little has changed. I must say firstly that the quality of the coffee and available food was excellent, just disappointed that 10 minutes after opening (and we were probably the 5th people served) they had already run out of sausages, panini's and porridge on what was a busy morning. Suffice to say that we (3 families) were unimpressed that it was the same old, same old insufficient quantities of standard breakfast staples available so soon after opening time.
We were hoping to bring our custom and money back into the local economy but alas we will now be going elsewhere to invest our pension.

I am writing this review with a heavy heart, I along with several friends meet up on Saturday mornings for breakfast at the Brookfield and are all of the mindset of supporting local business where possible and have supported this local café almost every week since it's opening, (with the exception of the Covid lockdown).
We have encountered and have found amusing up until now the service provided, the muddled orders, missing items etc. the inability of many of the staff to see that a table full of used plates and cups would benefit from clearing, all whilst charging a high price for the available menu.
Today there was a shortage of staff, this can't always be helped and in situations such as this we are very tolerant to delays, but when 15 minutes after opening you hear that they have run out of several items on the menu (staples such as sausages and bread rolls) and this is not the only occasion, surely the staff yesterday would have been aware of such shortfalls in basic ingredients and ordered or replenished in advance of opening this morning.
Today there were 6 adults and 4 children in our group (at our capacity it could add up to 12 adults and 9 children), one of the children today had to wait over an hour for a basic bacon sandwich, (had to be a sandwich as no rolls available and had to be bacon because no sausages available!).
I doubt that we will now return, certainly not in the near future, enough is enough, we are now considering other options for our Saturday breakfast meet up, this this will be a loss to a local business of at least £100 every week with our numbers today, obviously considerably more £'s when we are all available.
I do hope that this café can be turned around and that one day we could return but the whole business strategy needs to change. For the prices being charged the service needs to improve greatly.

My mum told the lady at the counter i was lactose intolerant but i was given butter on my bacon sandwich, im writing this now in the evening as my stomach is in so much pain. Also the young girl that brought our drinks to us seemed rude and moody. My mum comes here often so she has a better overall experience than me.

Warm welcome, good coffee and great looking cakes (I resisted this time!). Ideal for a meeting between Cheltenham & Gloucester. Thank goodness for community-run enterprises like this!
