We booked 6 rooms at the Five Arrows Hotel for my husbands 60th birthday. The hotel were very accommodating with every request we asked. We were eating at the Five Arrows Restaurant for the celebration meal and they arranged drinks and canapés in the Coachhouse. All excellent. The rooms were lovely with “The White Company” toiletries. Fluffy towels. Really lovely experience and all our family absolutely loved it. They were given ticket to enjoy Waddesden Manor which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Fice Arrows for a wonderful weekend

I really cannot recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough. My wife and I spent a weekend break here last week and were both utterly impressed by just about all aspects of this beautiful building. To be fair, other than the bar and dining areas downstairs we didn't see a great deal of the hotel building itself as we stayed in one of the suites which are situated on the courtyard (it was really lovely and very comfortable), but both bar and dining room were terrific. As, it has to be said, was the service throughout. We like attentive and efficient without being intrusive, and Five Arrows has it in spades. We saw no sign of the overall Manager (if such a person exists) but Maggie appeared to be in charge of just about everything and did it all superbly whilst being lovely. The two young ladies who attended our table at dinner and, in the case of one of them, at breakfast the next morning were also lovely and extremely personable & efficient. Ah, dinner! Blimey O'Reilly - the food was magnificent. No, I mean REALLY magnificent. The menu is not a huge one - which is generally a good thing - but the chef certainly knows what he or she is doing. Between us we had the Stone Bass and the Lemon Sole, which were absolutely superb. Starters & Desserts were also superb and (beginning to rush through this review now) so too was breakfast on Sunday morning (minor quibble here - thought that the full English could possibly have been a tad larger; ie. two rashers and two sausages instead of one, but I really am clutching at quibble straws here) ||All in all, a wonderful weekend spent in a truly lovely hotel. Go now, I implore you!!!

This was a restaurant visit only.
Good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. Had the three course set menu. Excellent value at£30.
Starters of prawns on toast was well cooked. Crisp toast and juicy prawns with sour cream. Mains of duck breast with celeriac. Very good, but skin could have done with a little more grilling. Desserts of clementine meringue and the vanilla caramel were delicious.
Overall really good cooking and excellent value. Highly recommended, which I don't say very often.

I remember driving past this hotel when I was 18/19 and always wanted to stay. Well finally many years later I have. Booked a last minute on the day overnight stay to celebrate a new job. The hotel manager Aggie very kindly upgraded our room which was a lovely suprise. Superking sized bed, high ceilings with exposed beams. All in all a beautiful room. We had dinner in the restaurant that night and the food was excellent, definitely recommend the lamb pie. Breakfast the next morning was also delicious and we were looked after on both occasions by Noah, thank you to them!

We stayed for two nights to visit both Waddesdon Manor grounds and Bletchley Park on a midweek DB and B break which was excellent value for money. We had a suite in one of the courtyard rooms which certainly was well away from the traffic noise on the main road. Our dining experience was excellent on both nights, the quality being well above the price range. Reasonably priced wines from the Rothschild collection were also very good and staff were both helpful and friendly. One small niggle please purchase some better quality pillows! However we would certainly return.

Stayed here one night en route to the south coast. Lovely old historic hotel , nice bar area and a great breakfast . The room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Would have been 5* but unfortunately we were woken up by traffic about 4.30am that was constant . We live on an A road so we are used to traffic noise but this was unbearable so we wouldn't return.

I stayed in room 11 in the courtyard of the hotel. A good sized room with a comfortable bed and mattress with lots of pillows; a Dyson hairdryer. A well lit bathroom with shower over a bathtub. With the high beamed ceilings and one radiator it was a cool room in the morning. Breakfast was to order and delicious The most outstanding part of the stay I had with a friend who was celebrating her birthday were the staff and the outstanding service delivered. They were all so caring and courteous and smiling! It is a happy place to stay because of the staff. The most outstanding person was Adam. My friend had difficulty walking and Adam kindly drove us up to Waddesdon Manor - it is a long way from the front gates It was only after that we discovered Adam is the general Manager of the hotel. Such incredible humility and he made our stay extra special No words can express our thanks to him and the staff at Five Arrows.
