I have to say that David and Nicci who run the Ultimate Rock School are committed 100% to giving their students a great experience. Students are placed with tutors who are felt to be the most compatible with their choice of music and personality. URS provide tuition for drummers, guitarists and vocalists, with keyboard tuition being added more recently. My daughter joined over 2 years ago and quickly went from being a complete novice on acoustic guitar to now being in two bands playing acoustic, bass and electric guitar. She has such a great time and has appeared in the award winning Lincoln LipDub event, the Lincolnshire Show, and gigs at numerous village fairs and pubs. David and Nicci even took one of her bands, along with Ripkord, on tour to Cornwall for a week last summer. Having had such success last year, they have been asked to return again this year which has been met with whoops of joy! I cannot recommend them enough.

Ultimate Rock School offers guitar, drums and singing lessons for young children and teenagers across Lincolnshire. My daughters Aged 14 and 16 have been involved since December 2012 and in that short space of time they have learnt not only to play Guitar and Bass but sing with their bands and perform live at local music festivals, special events and in the studio at North Hykeham. Not only this, through being a member of Ultimate Rock School the girls have taken part in Lincolnshire's very own Lipdub and more recently were involved in the Bastille project to promote opportunities for young people in Lincoln.

David Truelove's dedication to the students is second to non, going the extra mile to provide stimulating lessons in all areas he is certainly a victim of his own success !!! The young teachers and band mentors relate to the pupils and I am sure this is why the bands all do so well. The Lesson fees are average cost and very competitive with other musical tuition fees and in my opinion worth every penny !

Nicci Snook the manager goes above and beyond to provide lesson times to fit for everyone. She arranges a wide range of opportunities for the bands to perform. Nicci has also organised for members of the music industry to come and talk to the students about their experiences. This has resulted in going to gigs and meeting some famous musicians such as the Darkness, Josh Doyle and the Blitz Kids !!!!!

The open planned layout of the studio creates a relaxing environment giving the students a sense of community and belonging. Being part of URS has given my children a chance to make new friends and share their experiences with young people with similar interests.

Thank you very much to David and Nicci for the amazing opportunities that my children have experienced in the short time they have been members.

Singing teachers are 16/17 year olds whose only qualifications appear to be that they are older students of the "school".
Despite what is said when joining and the impression given on the website membership of bands are only open to kids who also agree to have lessons at the school - so if you are unhappy with the teaching you either have to put up with it or allow your child to be removed from their band.

I had lessons from David for years. He’s the best music tutor I’ve had by a long shot and I’ll always be grateful for the things he taught me. Would recommend any day of the week, thank you David.
