My son started at this Chinese school last September and loves going every Saturday! They put equal weight to speaking, listening and writing and I am so surprised at how much he has learnt! We don't speak Mandarin at home so we were wondering how he would cope in a class of children who are way ahead of him - but in fact it's not effected him but helped him more. Its such a great way to understanding Asian culture too and good for overall learning. My only regret is not starting him earlier! Thank you Rosa and Suchen!

WenLin Chinese School is a fantastic resource for children (and adults). My children (6 & 10) both loved it, and I'm greatly enjoying the adult sessions.

The curriculum is wonderful with lots of engaging events for the children throughout the year. Very professional, organised team, but also with a wonderful kindness and energy that is present in all the teaching staff. Highly reccomend!

Great school, perfect introduction to learning Mandarin for our 4yo son. The teachers are extremely patient and they manage to seamlessly blend learning and fun. Our son looks forward to the class every week (which is saying something) We will be sending our youngest there as well when she’s old enough. Highly recommend if you want your kids to start learning Chinese.

My son joined WenLin since last term and he absolutely enjoy making new friends, story telling, singing and play. As a mum, I really like how the course is structured and the learning is fun and suitable for this age group (1- 3 years old). Rosa is a fantastic and passionate teacher, she shows each child with special attention with the time she has with them in the class. Parents are also encouraged to take part in the singing and get to learn Mandarin too!.

My children now 9 and 8 years old were the first once to join Wenlin school 7 years ago. We witnessed the impressive journey how Rosa build the school into the Chinese school it is today. In these 7 years we always received high level quality teaching in a very caring environment. Wenlin makes sure the children are rewarded for their efforts by honouring them with trophy’s, certificates and tokens. Children at Wenlin school are not only learning the Chinese language but are also exposed to Chinese culture. We had so many wonderful Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese National day and other celebrations. Students at Wenlin even get a chance to go to China when they get older. Rosa and her team puts absolutely all her heart into the preparation of everything going on at Wenlin. Whilst learning Chinese children even have the opportunity to celebrate their own culture, traditions and heritage. My children always enjoy going to Chinese class every Saturday. We as a family would like to thank Rosa and her Wenlin team for always going the extra mile and bringing so much Chinese knowledge and culture into our lives. I would always recommend Wenlin school to any mum looking for a Chinese school with high standards. See you there Susanne

My English son joined the WenLin School for Saturday Kung Fu Classes with Master Lin, esteemed master from the Shao Lin Temple. The classes are very well organised by Rosa with a good mix of families and different aged children of all levels. My 13 year old son is desperate to get there every week..its what he's most enthusiastic about in his week. What's more for this Feb half term, Rosa organised an extra Kung Fu/ Wu Shu "camp" for 3 afternoons with a Brazilian Master who taught a small group some amazingly elegant and controlled moves with fans and nunchucks. They all loved it. Everything is well organised and reliable with the lovely Rosa. Hoping my son might also improve his Chinese through WenLin School! We were recommended this school by some other English friends, experienced in Chinese and the Chinese Culture. Thanks WenLin from the Nicholls Family.

(Although WenLin gets 5* the location at Chestnut Grove Academy is somewhat neglected and uninviting as it's about to be rebuilt Having said that the rooms that Rosa has been using are fit for purpose and the problems with the building are not the fault of the Chinese School. Am sure the imminent rebuild will be a significant improvement.)

I had been looking for a good kung fu class for a over 10 years in South West London unsuccessfully. I practiced kung fu in my 20s and since then I never seemed to find the same 'atmosphere'. I was looking for a master who practised the martial art as well as it's philosophy. Last year I saw WenLin Chinese school was opening a children's class with a renowned shifu Master Lin. The classes started taking adults in 2016 and my daughter and I joined. I can say it is my daughter's favourite class, she really looks up to Master Lin and wants to improve her moves. As for me, it is exactly what I was looking for, being taught by an outstanding teacher but also feeling peaceful inside, it is also a pretty hard workout! I would definitely recommend this class for those who want to learn a martial art that teaches discipline of the body and mind. It is also a fantastic session for those who want to do an activity with their children.

Wenlin school and Rosa have provided an exceptional Mandarin classes especially for the little ones. My daughter who joined the class when she turned 1 have had a phenomenal begining to Mandarin learning jornery. Both my husband and I are not Chinese and speak another language at home but for Amiera we wanted her to learn Mandarin, who not only enjoyed taking on this challenge but she picked up the language exceptionally fast with Rosa's teaching method. We have been looking for a really good school locally but could not find one as good as this though it's a train journey for us but we absoutley love looking forward to coming in for our class on the weekend.
