Recently found out that one of my teachers wanted me removed because i wouldn't talk to anyone, my other teacher said that they should keep me here and thats what they did. I spent two years here but rather than help me get comfortable in a new environment their first thought was removal. I did eventually get comfortable on my own accord but that was due to me realising i had to spend two years here, so i better get use to it. i made some great friends but this college isn’t here to help you, you’re just a number and they have an opportunity to make a few thousand out of you. The so called “best college in london” is not the right place for people to go to if they want to learn, grow and/or seek help in a time of need, like it was for me.

The beauty of this college is that they accept everyone and I’m a firm believer in giving everyone a chance! Safeguarding appears to be good at the college, one of the black safeguarding teachers I used to chat to was absolutely lovely! I forget her name. Shout out to Maria Tirma Cabera Odeja for being an attentive tutorial tutor who genuinely cares for her students and who picked up on things no one in my own family did (let alone any other teachers in my whole time in education) in order to get me support, I’m thankful she got me support and she’s a lovely sweet teacher. Lastly a shoutout to the black college counsellor there, she’s absolutely lovely and shout out to Scarlett in the music department too! Assuming she’s still there, I no longer attend this college but when I did, I loved the events going on like freshers fair, I liked the networking/job events and I liked how there were sexual health talks and how a card for free condoms was offered, consent cards were available. These are really important things for any student but young students especially who aren’t always the best at impulse control but will know how to act safely.

This is the worse place to chose if you want to learn something, the staff they are rude, if you call they don’t reply and if they do they just hang up, The teachers are very helpless. DONT CHOISE THIS COLLEGE TO DEVELOP YOUR CAREER

I’ve just finished studying my post-16 education at West Thames college doing Level 3 Travel and Tourism (2022-2024). I’ve enjoyed myself so much!. The teachers are amazing and so supportive, they all speak from great experience which makes learning engaging and better (Dillip/Joseph/Rita/Amrit). Got so much support from teachers and I got on with my class fellows well!
The college had great facilities for me to use , such as the big library , great computers , books and so much more. Went on many many trips to various places including Barcelona.
Coming to West Thames college has helped me to boost my confidence, and has opened me up to many experiences / learning. I feel prepared to go into work and higher education.

Thanks to all the college staff and facilities!

Definitely recommend WTC, they live up to the number one college.
