Our daughter has participated twice in the week long camp and LOVED it. She was 16 for her first and then went again in 2023 to the 7 day camp in beautiful Culford School. Staff and the many new friends she made have increased her confidence as a filmmaker, and developed her people and technical skills dramatically. The friends she made have been genuine buddies who she meets online and in person now. As an expat Brit, she has met and worked alongside other Brits and teens from around the world. Such an enriching experience and well worth the time, effort on our side (and money) needed to make it happen.

What a wonderful unique party! The girls had a great time creating a pop video with Nathan and Ruby. High energy, fast-paced and many memories created. The end result was truly amazing. Thank you

YFA camps are excellent. The perfect balance of technical, creative and essential life skills (e.g. boosting self-confidence, effective teamwork). The YFA staff are all super fun, highly motivating and really know how to bring out the best in young people. From the 1-day camps to the residential camp, our children have always had an amazing time.

I feel so lucky to have discovered the Young Film Academy for my 14 year old daughter. She has attended two years in a row now and has had the most amazing experience. Two weeks of solid film-making and acting, plus lots of fun, on a residential camp over the summer holidays! She has come away with increased confidence, new skills and lots of new friends from all over the world. Well done YFA for creating this amazing experience and opportunity for young people. My daughter went to the two week summercamp for filmmakers twice. She also had the privilege to participatie in Project Paradiso.
The great thing about YFA is that they do not only teach the young people how to make movies, they also help them to grow as a person.
My daughter had a great time, both in summercamp and in Sicily and she learned a lot. Unfortunately she is nog to old for summercamp but in a couple of years she hopen to return as a professional director and camp staf

My son has attended YFA for 3 summers now. It is his favorite camp and can't wait to get back to his friends and to filming! The staff is TOP NOTCH. We've watched our son grow and his passion for film ignite all because of YFA and the experience it provides. Easier to attend when we lived in the UK, but important enough now for us to fly back to England each summer for Film Camp! Highly recommend! Thank you to everyone at YFA for your hard work and love you pour into our children.

The YFA Summer Film Camp week was brilliant in every way! Our daughter (17) loved every split second and didn't want it to end. She made good friends, and is so proud of the film she and her group made. I'm not surprised - it really is an impressive short film, especially given how fast it had to come together. Our daughter chose to be 'crew' rather than 'acting' and so she learned, in a hands on, practical way, about story boarding, script writing, script editing, camera and sound equipment, directing and video editing. It's a remarkable feat, the way the YFA team ensure that everything comes together so that all the many short films can be screened on the last day. This was a wonderful event to attend and it was a joy to be a small part of the experience and see how excited the kids were. The accommodation, food and entertainment during the week were all great, and it's very good value for money when you consider the high quality and unique value of experience itself, and the skills, friends and memories they come away with. In the days following the camp we heard so many stories about it, and noticed increased confidence. It seems that kids go year after year, but she is now too old to return, which she's gutted about! But she'll aways remember this week and will cherish her film. She wants to study film at university, so this has been the perfect first step. Huge thanks to all involved.
